A PERFECT GIFT...

I had bought this book for my own collection, and was mesmorized by the stories and the reproduced "original" memorobilia that went along with it.
The pictures were wonderful, and when it came to the holidays, I knew this would make the perfect present for my girlfriend who just loved Audrey Hepburn. I was even able to sit with my two daughters and show him just why she left such a vivid impression on us all. By the way, my
girlfriend still has not stopped thanking me!

So much fun

Is anything better than Audrey Hepburn? Probably not. We don't learn much new information about her Hollywood years, but gain many insights into her youth. This book comes with fabulous "stuff" in the form of reproductions of documents of Ms.Hepburn's life. One wonders what Ms.Hepburn would of thought about us gushing over copies of bits of paper she probably thought about for a few seconds!

Unique Book

This is a wonderful adventure-- much more than a book. As each chapter unfolds, the reader experiences the joy of discovery, the magic of uncovering long hidden historical artifacts. The replica ephemera is very well done, since it has both the look and feel of authenticity. (The occupation era ID is fascinating.) The text itself provides a thumbnail biography and serves as the glue that ties the various enclosures together. This would be a great gift for an AH-phile, student of the 60's, or simply someone who enjoys off-beat books. The retail price is expensive, but understandable based on the complicated printing and assembly.

Love this book!

My sister bought me this book for x-mas and I have to say, it was the best x-mas gift anyone gave me this year! There are so many pictures, stories and mementos I had never before heard of or seen and I have been a big Audrey fan since I was seven!

The Perfect Name

This book has the perfect name. It truly is a treasure. I received it from my sister for my birthday as she knows what a huge Audrey Hepburn fan I am. This book helps you to feel like you were somehow a part of her life. You get to own copies of her actual momentos. Photo albums, her first contract, notes written to her by Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and others. Theres a baby picture that her mother had sent out with her mothers handwriting on the back teling family members how sweet Audrey was even back then.
It is a priceless book for Audrey fans. I sincerely appreciate the work that was done to give us this amazing opportunity to put ourselves in her place for one moment. I held the copy of her contract and thought, what must she have felt in that moment, holding that?
I also learned that Audrey had many miscarriages. 5 in fact. I just went though a miscarriage. When I read that she said of all the things in her life that were painful (and there were a lot of tough times for her- read the book) her miscarriages were the most painful. I was so able to understnad her feelings. I love and always have loved children as much as she did. It comforted me somehow.
Get the book- you'll love it!
