Splendid

This magic picture book of extraordinary flora and fauna will demonstrate, like no other, the tragedy of what is being lost with the destruction of rain forests around the world. Buy this book and be awed, for the things depicted herein are well nigh passing from the earth, and we will not see their like again. Not just a book of wonders, but an indictment against our insatiable human appetites that condemn rain forest species to extinction so that we in the "civilized" world may have our cheeseburgers, our palm oil, our fancy wood flooring and furniture. In a way, it is a document of our undoing, for the inability to honor the diversity of life on this planet will surely lead to the extinction of our own. My congratulations to Thomas Marent for this gift and labor of love to the world.

Simply phenomenal

A friend suggested that I would appreciate the vivid wildlife and outdoor photography found in Rain Forest. Based on that recommendation I purchased a copy and, quite literally, the photography simply took my breath away. I have never been so impressed with the spendor of wildlife photography in the way this artist presents his subjects. Page after page the animals are seemingly more exotic, detailed, and captivating than the page before. This book is a treasure, a tribute to the threatened exotic wildlife species, and for photographers as a whole. Consider this book to earn a deserving permanent place in your library, or as a well-appreciated gift to any person with the slightest interest in nature.

FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPHY!! AWESOME RAINFORESTS!

This book is AWESOME!!! Every page contains FULL PAGE photographs of the most BEAUTIFUL photography of rainforests (and the creatures that live there) that I have ever seen! The author includes a description of each photograph so you will know what you are looking at. There is also a map showing all the rainforests from all over the world! It made me want to quite my job and go work in the rainforest somewhere, that is, until I saw the picture of the photographer up to his waist in a swamp, covered in mud. He's practically dedicated his life to rainforests. The photography is very inspiring. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!

the ultimate coffee table book

I've never seen a book quite like this before. You can tell a lot of work and effort was put into this project -- not the type of book that was published for the sake of publishing. The photos are crisp, beautiful and colorful. I can't imagine anyone, kid or adult, who would not enjoy flipping those pages.
