EJD 4Life

Loved this book.

EJD deals with the effects of an affair on a seemingly stable marriage. What he does different is show how that knowledge of that affair leads a woman to the bed of the man married to the woman her husband is cheating with. But it is about much more than sex.

For the first time EJD writes from a woman's point of view and he does a damn good job at it. He captures the myriad of emotions that a woman goes through when she discovers her man is cheating. I felt for the character and the blow to the marriage. I mean, can you imagine reading detailed emails between your husband and his lover?

The storyline is a little predictable at points during the novel but I never saw the restaurant scene (and the domino effect it had) coming--and neither did anyone else. Don't lie.

The love scenes as always are erotic and intense--but not vulgar and crude.

This is a good twist on the standard "Oh, Lord, why is my man cheating and what am I gonna do?" type of novel.

I truly think this is one of his best works and EJD should be proud.

Surprising !!

Eric Jerome Dickey did it with this book. Engaging us in the overlapping world of a married couple, their worlds seem to only meet when they're at home. Outside of the home they are in such different places, it appears a classic case of opposites attract. Until they realize their true common bonds.

This book brings on an unexpected double surprise. Upon reaching the first climactic event, you wonder what else is there to tell, but there is indeed more. And as a reader it makes you truly wonder how far you'd go for love. What would you do in the same situation?

I could read this book again and again just for the intense emotions of hate and love, happiness and sorrow, the expected events and the surprises. The whole specturm is covered and I LOVED IT!!

One of The Best

I've read a lot of African American Literature and I have to say that this is one of the best that I've read. It was a page turner like no other. Started the book on tuesday and finished it on Thursday. I could not put it down to save my life! He wrote very well from a womans point of view. And not only was it a good book, it really makes you think twice about stepping out on your spouse! Good read, and an eye opener. I loved it.

really got my attention

THIS BOOK WAS MORE THAN A GOOD READ. I ENJOYED THIS BOOK SO MUCH THAT I HAD OTHER PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY READ IT THAT DON'T EVEN LIKE TO READ. MY SISTER READ IT AND SHE HATES TO READ, SHE COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. ERIC JEROME DICKEY REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION WITH THIS BOOK. I'M GONNA READ ALL HIS BOOK AFTER THIS ONE.

EJD....

He's my favorite male author (would say favorite author but I love Mary Monroe). My first EJD book was Cheaters, I read that about two months ago; and since then I've been reading all of his books in order of publication (this was my 8th one; I'm on Naughty or Nice now). I like his "new" style I was getting board with how his other books were written. Over all I loved "The Other Woman" I had a few issues with some things not being realistic, but over all I give it two thumbs up. Great read, page-turner, buy it!
