Thoroughly Enjoyable
I love when good authors can really take you to another place. I found the imagery a wonderful get away from a some
times depressing
world. It took me a little while to get into the character,s but the places you go in this book are worth the trip into Jordan's imagination.
Great read, good time
Also Try
Love reading fantasy novels? Do yourself a favor and read Steven Erikson's Malazan series. Gardens of the Moon is now available in the U.S. Or you an order the entire series from Amazon.co.uk

My Favorite Fantasy Adventure!
This story has so captured my imagination that I find myself wanting the next book to be published 'yesterday'. Others had compared it to LOTR, but I disagree, it is a story apart! Some think it drags, but for me this was NOT True. I recommend this for anyone who likes to 'get away' and travel in a different world!

The Start of an Epic
The first of these books came out 16 years ago now, and it's still not finished (12 books and counting). Now I appreciate a good sprawling epic as much as the next person, but this is starting to get a bit ridiculous. However if you do want to start reading this series this cheap box
set
is a good way to start.
Test you patience with this series
The world and plot are more complex than usual Tolkin rip-offs. The only annoying thing is lots of sulking, glaring and self-doubting characters do.
The series deserves 5 stars for the first 3 books. After these 3 books it starts to drag out, that is why I gave it 4 stars.
I think Jordan wants to milk out as much money out of this project as he can. Pitty! If he had known to stop at book 4 or 5, this would have been the best modern fantasy series.
