Cheap and sufficient.

I use this book for my online spanish lessons. Its nothing special, but it gives plenty of exercises to use with my tutor. Plus its not grossly overpriced like most textbooks.

I recommend it as a sequel to the green book, Spanish Verb Tenses by the same author.

It is an excellent book in the same format as the green one. The only difference is it's harder. Spanish pronouns can be very difficult. I definately recommend these two Dorothy Richmond books for the self-learner.

Best Spanish Book on the topic of Pronouns and Prepositions

This is a Spanish book in a class by itself. Most Spanish grammar books focus on verb conjugation.
And the Spanish grammar books that do cover pronouns limit the topic to direct, indirect, reflexive
and possessive pronouns. This book goes beyond the limited scope of other books and covers pronouns in greater depth.

The only thing this book does a better job than covering Pronouns is covering the topic of Prepositions.

You will find all or nearly all the topics of prepositions covered:

1. Prepositions showing a relationship between nouns and pronouns, eg. acerca de (about)sobre (about,
on topic), con (with), sin (without).
2. Prepositions of physical location, e.g. enfrente de (across from, opposite), delante de (in front of),
dentro de (inside), al alado de (next to), fuera de (outside).
3. Prepositions of movement, e.g. por (throughout), alreador de (around), hacia atras (backwards).
4. Prepositions of Geographical location, e.g. al norte de (to the north of), al sur de (to the of), al este
(to the east of).
5. Prepositions of origin, e.g. a causa de (because of), de (from or of).
6. Prepositions of time, e.g. despues (after), antes de (before), (durante) during, hasta (until).
7. Prepositions of Location at the end of a sentence or clause, e.g. adentro (inside), abajo (downstairs),
afuera (outside), arriba (upstairs, above).

This book also does one of the best jobs that I have found in explaining when to use "por" vs "para." You will still need more than this book to achieve fluency. But I encourage you to buy it because it fills all of the gaps that other grammar books leave unfulfilled. I use this book with Learning Spanish Like Crazy audio CDs. Not only has my Spanish improved but my confidence in speaking Spanish has increased. If you use Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns and Prepositions with Learning Spanish Like Crazy you'll be well on your way to fluency in Spanish.
