The search for Mr. Pine
Like others who have included their review of the book, I recall reading this book to a dear family member--my younger brother. I simply read the book to him because, at the time, my favorite color was
purple
(keep in mind I was 7). However, the simple actions of Mr.
Pine
, and his decision to stick to his plan have stayed with me--I would love to pass this book along to my godson and other family members!
Wow!
Mr.
Pines
Purple
House
and Mr. Pines Mixed up Signs were a great part of my childhood in the 60's. If they are coming out again I am ordering them now to read with my kids. Glad to se so many others have the same great memories of these terrific books!

mr.pine's purple house
I am an old lady now but remember reading this book to my two son's who have now grown and have their own family's. My youngest son asked recently if I still have this book, unfortunately I gave it to a book fair. I would give anything if Mr. Kessler would reprint this book and let me buy it at a reasonable price. I have only found one on the net at they wanted 150.00 for it. I love my son but I must be reasonable. Please Mr. Kessler, re-print this lovely book so that my grandchildren and great grandchildren can hear it.
Where are You Mr. Pine?
I'm 32 years old with a 2 year old daughter and a boy due April 10th. For some strange reason I felt the need to look to see if this book was still out there. I'm touched that this book made such an impact in others lives as well as my own. Please reprint this book whomever has the rights to it, so my children and others may hear the tale of Mr
Pines determination
and perserverence in the face of peer pressure.

One of my favorite books
I received this book as a present from my Grandmother in 1968 when I was three. I asked to have it read to me many, many times as a child; I am sure it played a big part in why I learned to love to read and why my favorite color has ALWAYS been
PURPLE
. I am really glad to see that there were other kids out there (adults now) who enjoyed that book as much as I did. (...)
