An amazing book

I love this book, because it speaks so simply about the reality we are all facing today, and also gives so simple and truthful ways to solve some of these problems.Each time I have read this book, it really opened my heart and gave me such comfort.

The bigger picture, drawn by a saint

This is probably the most interesting book I have ever read. You will find that it is very different from any other book. This is an analysis of our western society, but not from an intellectual-analytical point of view, but from a viewpoint that roots in a much deeper source of knowledge and wisdom, only accessible to very enlightened personalities. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, a recognised saint in her home country of India, writes about the problems of our western society with such an immense compassion and concern for humankind, I have hardly ever seen before. The author does not write in the traditional "analytical human mind" type of style, that we all have learned at school, replete of citations and recycling of other people's opinions and relative truths. She truly thinks by herself. This is an honest, profound, critical and at the same time heartfelt observation of the state of the current world problems of human civilisation, made by someone who deeply cares about the course and evolution of humankind. All our problems are rooted in human nature and Shri Mataji offers the spiritual -and perhaps only- solution for a positive change: the journey within to be made by each one of us, the awakening of spiritual awareness that will ultimately lead to a collective change and a better world for all of us. This book is a big synthesis, full of truth and wisdom, a mirror of ourselves and our society, addressing universal problems and offering a feasible solution. This book is truly showing the bigger picture, drawn by a great saint! I would not miss reading it!

There are moral problems in our society that are pervasive but hardly acknowledged. Nobody likes to brand anyone, or be branded, as a bad person. In Meta Modern Era Her Holiness Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi describes what has happened in Western civilization over the last 80 years and doesn't pull any punches about it. She's like a mother telling her children what they need to know and what is good for them without worrying about whether it will be popular. In some ways it is a difficult book to read, partly because of the challenging subject mater but also because new insights are densely packed in the pages. On the other hand, the anecdotes are told with a lot of humor. Those who are looking for answers will persevere and find a lot of truth in this book.

Spiritual discovery

I find this book original in its content. It is innovating in its analysis of our modern world. It is enlightening for us and the future generations. If there is really an opening, a spiritual opening, to this world, it is definitely worth reading and investigating further within ourselves.
