Point Blank excellent book
I found this book to be very exciting. I have read all of C.C. books and have not been disap
pointed with
any of them. I await the next one. I know it will be as good as her others.
Entertaining
Maybe the plausibility is a bit strained for the characters and plot in parts, but I have my own non-fiction stories where true events seem more implausible. I didn't mind this aspect in an entertaining fictional story. The only disap
point
ment I had with the story is the clever, taunting villain went down so easily, with no big finale. But, in real life, the
FBI often
finds their notorious villain hiding in some hole, unshaven, in his underwear, and scratching his butt in confusion, instead of the breathtaking finale chase and shootout we expect in fiction.
This was worth the read, (actually referring to the unabridged audio book version) and I would recommend it. The story had a solid motion picture formula, and I could see it as a movie or TV movie at least, depending on the tweaks.
