I don't use the included software but use microsoft synctoy instead and the drive has worked flawlessly.

My, My Passport

I needed space and this drive is everything I wanted it to be. My laptop was within 2gb of being full and it was affecting my systems performance in a negative way. Something needed to go. I had 25gb of music and another 10 in pictures. That seemed to be the best thing to get rid of to gain the biggest bang on my system.

When I first hooked it up the system found it fine. I did not need any special drivers. I easily moved all that I wanted off my system to the drive. And within a few more minutes I had iTunes configured to find my music in it's new location.

I travel allot. I really like the fact that it is compact, and powered off the USB port. I did not need another power block to drag through the airport. It's also very quiet.

If you need space on your system, or a place to back up files. I would recommend this drive as the solution.

A Fantastic Little Hard Drive with Lots of Space!

I got this 320GB hard drive specifically to swap out the drive with the one in my HP laptop (dv6000)(200GB). After watching a few YouTube videos and fiddling with the darn difficult-to-open case on the Passport, I was happily chugging along with way more space on my laptop! The new drive is much quieter, faster, and bigger than the stock HP Drive. I can definitely say I'm a happy camper!

I've now put my HP Drive into the Passport enclosure to have a nice and sleek little 200GB portable bus-powered drive! Find the best price and get one today, you won't regret it. =)

Now if they'd only start pumping out 1TB 2.5" drives then I'd be REALLY excited. (Of course that'll probably happen by the time some of you are reading this, so fingers-crossed!)

i can't complain. this is the second WD passport essential i purchased because i loved the first one. i bought this second one as a gift. very easy to use.

A great item even if you think you don't need it, because the time comes when you need it. I can't keep it away from my High School Senior, will have to get him one.
