Cute

This book is filled with funny poems from the witty Shel Silverstein. It sort of helps, y'know, whenever you're down, just to take the book and read the funny little poetry in it. I can't say I liked all of the poems in a book, but when it's a book like this it's impossible to like them all, anyways. Everyone will have their favorties.

The Best Book That Will Last Into The Next 1000 years

I have read only four of Shel's books and must say that beyond a shadow of a dout this is the best book he has writen in years. The poems are funny and entertaining, the characters are witty and funny with an amusing display of personality and realizm. Shel has mastered the art of children's poems and it shows in the book, the only book that can be called an award winning masterpeice.

GENIUS...... ABSOLUTE PURE GENIUS

What can one say about another book from the master of childrens poetry. Mr Silverstein improves with each syllable he pens. From A Light In The Attic to my all time favorite book, The Giving Tree, this author has kept you laughing or crying and on occasion both at the same time. Each poem is a masterpiece, an heirloom to be passed on from generation to generation. This book, as well as his others, make the perfect gift for children ages 1 to 101. It is rare these days that parents and kids can relate to the same topics or speak the same language. Falling Up is that key to bringing the generations closer. This was unfortunately his last book before he passed in 1999. Get this book as a tribute to him and a gift to yourself.

Neat-o Poetry

Falling Up is one of my, many, favorites of Shel Silversteins's writings. Although his poems are written for children, the poetry in this book is for all ages. Shel Silverstein's books are for the whole family.

As a twenty year old, I still find his poetry hilarious!!!!!

Shel Silverstein has done it again!!! I have enjoyed reading his books as a child, and as an adult it only gets better! In his previous books, "Wherer the Sidewalk Ends," and "A Light in the Attic," I laughed and laughed histerically. I personally enjoyed "Sarah Synthia Silvia Stout" and Ickle Me Pickle Me Tickle ME Too! NOw in his new book, all I can say is that as a 20 year old man I still found his "child humor" extremely funny. It actually inspired me to consider writing children's poetry. I love kids just as I am sure that Mr. Silverstein did, and being that he passed away just a little while ago, maybe someone should step up and continue the job where he left off. I don't think that anyone can take the place of Shel, however, I do believe that if no one steps up than the kids of the future will have no new litereature in this genre to look forward to.-Trabelus Whitfield, Virginia Beach, VAShel Silverstein has done it again!!!
