for children (and adults) of all ages

The illustrations and the story of Stellaluna are a treasure. I purchased this book to help teach children who are preparing to change cultures or those who have already changed cultures; however it is a thoroughly engaging story for children of all ages. I do agree with the warning of other reviewers that this book might not be approriate for younger adopted children. Otherwise this treasure of a book is highly recommended.

School Book Review

Have you ever been attacked by an owl? I read a book about a bat that did. It's called Stellaluna by Janell Cannon. When Stellaluna is attacked, she gets separated from her mother, and ends up living with birds! Could things get any worse? The pictures in this book are great! In one, Stellaluna is being fed bugs from Mother Bird! Eww! It also has some facts here and there, which makes it a really interesting book. I think the author is trying to tell you hat even if you make a change, you can still be yourself. Read this book to find out if Stellaluna ever finds her mother...

School Book Reveiw

Have you ever gotten lost? I read a book about a bat that did. It is called Stelleluna by Janell Cannon. The story is about a young bat who gets taken away from her mom, drops into a birds nest and has to live with the birds for awhile. Stelleluna doesn't know how to act like a bird. An exciting part was when Stelleluna had to eat worms. Then Stelleluna and the 3 birds got lost, but Stelleluna didn't give up! She kept on trying! I think the author was trying to tell us that just because someone looks or acts different doesn't mean you can't be nice to them, meaning the birds shouldn't have been mean to Stelleluna. Read this book to find out if Stelleluna ever finds her way home!

Classic childrens book that I will never forget

There is nothing amazing to this story, yet I have not forgot it years after hearing it. Maybe it was the librarians voice, or the big blue cover, but I fell in love with this book. A very sweet, charming book with your typical mother and baby story. Will buy for my kids one day :P

I adore this book

Before I had children I came across this book and became obsessed. It's beautifully written and illustrated. Now that I have a daughter I love to read it to her, and enjoy the author's other works as well! It's a wonderful book for any age!
