what's a ghoul to do?

This is the first book in Victoria Laurie's new series, and it's every bit as great at the Abby Cooper books. This series is different; there is no doubt about that. But I'd definitely recommend this book to any fans of Laurie. We've already met M.J. Holliday in a previous Abby book, but now she gets her own book. Her character is hysterical, as well as her best friend Gilley. I also loved Stephen, M.J.'s client from Germany, and his problems learning the English language.

This book is different from the Abby books because it doesn't seem as mystery driven. Sure, the mystery is the heart of the book, but there is a lot of great side action with the characters and the ghosts. I don't think there is another series out there quite like this one out there.

Encounter the spirits

As the first book of a new series, a psychic/ghostbuster MJ is hired to investigate a suspected suicide of a rich, handsome and single doctor, Dr. Steven Sable. They proceed to the doctor's grandfather's lodge along with Doc, her parrot and her business manager and computer whiz, Gilly, to encounter the spirits and the doctor's scheming father. Gilly adds humor to the story as does the Dr. Sable's none to graceful grasp on the nuances of the English language. Of course, a romance blossoms between MJ and hunky Dr. Sable. The story is an interesting beginning to a new series.

Another hit series for Victoria Laurie

Victoria Laurie is an incredible writer. She brings her characters to life with charm, wit and humor. In this new series she brings ghost busting to a whole new level. MJ is hired by a "delicious" doctor after his grandfather dies. Together with her partner, MJ goes on an exciting ride, dealing with more ghosts than she bargained for. I like how Ms. Laurie shows the personalities of each ghost, showing their uniqueness, which adds dilemmas and intrigue to MJ's job. This is great series. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. Highly recommended!!

Fun Beginning to a New Series

First book in her new series. Introducing M.J. Holliday a psychic that specializes in ridding homes of Ghosts and Demons. This is much like her Psychic Eye Series including funny moments and a sexy man. The whole time I was reading this book I couldn't stop thinking about the Scooby-Do series. The only difference is that Scooby is a parrot named Doc.

Almost as good as the Abby Cooper series

Didn't even know this was out, saw it sittting by the register. I actually love her other series so was really excited by this one. I was not disappointed. A good solid read, strong characters. I loved the bird and loved Gilly her partner. I did feel the end was a cop out and they never resolved the littler girl angle but he what the heck - you'll enjoy the book anyway.
