The Double Agents
As usual, W.E.B. Griffin, along with William Butterworth IV, has given the readers another enthralling
war
novel
.
Sins of the son.
It is evident that WEB Griffin's son is writing more of the story of this
novel
. The action is not a crisp and the narrative drags at times.

W.E.B. Griffin with little known history
W.E.B. Griffin has created another
novel that
incorporates seldom known facts, i.e. World
War
II German use of biochemical and germ
agents
in Sicily. He melds the Mafia with the Italian resistance and the Free French in North Africa seamlessly. I am less impressed with his battering of Dwight Eisenhower, whom Griffin denigrates regarding his cooperation with the British and French, and Ike's mistress/driver. It seems that is a heavy handed attempt at inserting his prejudices into a scenario of germ agents and the Mafia in Sicily, which is gripping enough on it's own. Worth reading with the caveat.
