The most touching story ever

The first time I read this book was about three years ago, when I borrowed it from a public library. Until this day, I have not forgotten about it. Searhing For David's heart is a truly moving story ogf a young girl, who loses a brother that she loves very much, and tries to grip onto anything that is in memory of him. When David died, his heart was donated to a hospital for anyone who was in need of it. This little girl went searching for her brother's heart. This story has a little bit of every type of emotion, including romance, anger, and pure, intense sadness that brought tears to my eyes. Cherie Bennets way with words, the simple yet full-of-meaning way that she tlls this story, makes it something not to be missed. I am longing to read this book again but I can't seem to find it any where.

The Journey to David

Searching For David's Heart was one of the best books I have ever read. It is the story of a twelve-year-old girl named Darcy and her search for her brother David's heart. It all starts when David gets a girlfriend and he doesn't spend as much time with Darcy and she starts to feel neglected. At her birthday party David brings his girlfriend and she thinks that is the worst! Then when she finds out that he got Darcy the same necklace that he got his girlfriend she gets very angry and takes off running away from David. While David is chasing her to try to get her to calm down and say sorry, he runs out and gets killed in an accident. After David dies, his organs are donated. Darcy cant stop thinking that it is her fault that her brother died. She cant sleep or eat very well because she keeps telling herself that she killed her brother and she doesn't deserve to get rewarded with things like food and sleep. Her and her best friend decide to find who has David's heart. When they search to find David's heart their final result says the boy who has it lives all the way in Florida... They live in Wisconsin. Their parents would never let them go find David's heart for various reasons so they decide not even to tell them. They go off without supervision and get into many instances where they have to work together to continue on their journey. This book was very touching and it made you appreciate your loved ones even more. If you like sad/touching stories I believe that you would really enjoy reading this book. I know I did!

Searched- and found a great book!

This is a touching book that made me never want to stop reading. Darcy is a sixth grader who loves her older brother David so much. He means the world to her. Then he gets this girlfirend, who he seems to love more than Darcy. But Darcy can't accept that- she hates the girlfriend. Then on her birthday David got them both the same gift, which Darcy later found out was the girlfriends idea. She starts to run away- David chases after her and gets killed. This is where the book starts to get intense. David's heart is soon transfered to another hospital and is donated to someone else. Darcy belives that if she finds the heart reciever,(who lives in Florida)she can still feel davids heart. Then she takes her best friend on a runaway journey to find the 12 year boy from Miami who recieved David's heart. They face many challenges, but work together to accomplish their goal-to find David's heart. It was an interesting book. I loved it, and so will you!!!

Sibling Love

The book Searching for David's Heart is the best book I have read in my life,so far. The book is about a girl named Darcy who has a brother named David who cares about his sister very much. When David gets a girlfriend, things are not going Darcy's way. One night when David goes to the park with his girlfriend,Darcy follows them and then something bad happens to David when he chases after her. This is all I am going to tell you. You need to read the book to find the rest out.

Searching for David's Heart!

I love reading books! My class and I are reading this story during Literture. I am in the sixth grade. The story is about a girl named Darcy. She has a brother named David who she loves. (You can't blame her, he's cute, fun and a star athlete!) Then David gets a girlfriend! The J word. (Jan) Then everything changes. On her birthday David invites the J word over. David gives her a necklace and then Darce finds out that he gave the J word the same one! And it was her idea to get Darcy one too!!!! Then Dee-Dee runs away, David runs to stop her and calm her down but he gets hit by a car. Darcy is devastated. But her and her friend Sam go to Miami, FL and find the kid who got David's heart. She learns that life truly does go on. It was soooo sad and happy I wanted to cry and laugh out at times. It was good, I definitley recommend it to anyone who lost a loved one.
