Good airplane/vacation book

My first Jennifer Weiner book. I generally read more weighty fiction but was in the mood for something light and this was just perfect. The characters are well developed and easy for women to identify with. I looked forward to reading a few chapters each evening and finished the book very quickly.

Engrossing, Heartwarming Read

Weiner does it again with Little Earthquakes. This book follows four women from very different walks of life and their journey through motherhood. One great aspect of this book is that it doesn't just take you through their growing pains as new mothers, but you see how they find themselves and learn to grow and compromise through the events and through each other. The characters and plot are so well developedthat you find yourself becoming angry, sad, and happy right along with them. Although it's hard to agree with the way Weiner had her character's deal with some of the situations, that just develops the characters even more. It also forces you to look at it from a different perspective than you may have if you were in their position, which is another aspect of a good book. Witty, heartwarming, and sad all at once, this is a very good book.

Very good!

I thought this book was good and it kept me interested the whole way through. I'd definatly recommend it for other new moms out there.

Great book! Well written

When I read a book, I typically have 3 basic categories that they fit into: Really great books I finished in less than a week(read at every opportunity), Good books that took longer to read, and books that I STILL don't know the ending to. This book definately fits into the first category for me. It was the first book by Jennifer Weiner that I ever read, and have since been a fan of her work. I really enjoyed the way it was written. I have read other books that seperate chapters by character, and always end up favoring one characters story over the others; however with this book I enjoyed all of the character's stories equally.
