Makes it easy to have fun
If you REALLY want to know about
Walt
Disney
World
, this is the book for you. There is so much detail here that you won't find anywhere else... about the restaurants, the resorts, the attractions, the water parks, even on the "little" things to do such as miniature golf! Best of all, it is SO useful! Knowing which miniature golf course was best for our 5-year-old made all the difference one night during our recent visit, which was over Presidents Day weekend. We only had three days for this trip, but thanks to this book we had an absolute BLAST! Well worth the money.

Even better than last yeas edition!
I had last years edition and it was great! Even after years of going to
Disney
World
and thinking I was an expert, this book had so many things I didn't know about. From trivial details to great things to do, it was great to see a lot of new things! Even with Diseny constantly changing things, this book is pretty up to date as one can get these days.
And now that I got the latest edition, I can see there is even more stuff I need to do. The biggest changes since the last book are the dining reviews. Let's face it, if you are going to Disney World and spending thousands of dollars for your vacation, you have to be an idiot to plan on eating counter service hamburgers! I hear time and time again that people vacation at Disney World and don't have a clue about all the great restaurants that are there.
This book is great in that it has reviews for restaurants that I didn't even know existed! Nobody wants to spend even more money at Disney World for a crappy meal and this book certianly takes the guess work out of where to go and what to eat. Being written by an "every day person" rather than as a food critic is more easier to relate to when it comes to the restaurant critiques.
The book as great time
guide
s of when its best to what, where you can get great views, when to find the shortest lines, etc. And the attention to the detail is right up there with Disney's efforts when it makes all those details. The book describes all that extra effort the Imagineers did to make the ride what it is; how to find Hidden Mickeys; and all the subtle things that help immerse you in that happiest place on Earth!
And what might be the best thing I love about the book, it easily tucks into the back pocket of my jeans so I can carry it around when I'm in the parks.

A Worthy Upgrade
I never buy the next edition of a book, especially a travel
guide
to
Disney
. Not enough changes from year to year to really justify the price. This book is different and improved enough to easily warrant the purchase. Instead of changing a paragraph or two, like many of the guide books do from year to year, there are entire new sections added, rounding out the book. I like to read this a little each day as we plan our next trip down to Disney.
There is one thing I would like to see, maybe even in a different book, as not confuse first-time guests. That would be a section on the lost attractions, just as detailed as the present day sections.

So much new material
I almost did not purchase this book because I had the 2007 edition and figured it wouldn't be much different. Wrong! Almost every page has something new, and it is all right to the point. The attraction information includes, for example, new articles on the redone Haunted Mansion, the new High School Musical show, the new Spaceship Earth, the revised Kilimanjaro Safari ride, Epcot's Three Caballeros ride, the new Cinderella Castle show, the Festival of the Lion King show and next Pocahontas show (this is the only
guide
to take this show seriously, and it's my kid's favorite), Toy Story Mania (my soon to be personal fave, I'm sure) and every other new or revised thing
Disney
has thought up in the past year. There's a
completely restaurant
chapter that wasn't in the 2007 book, and then another new chapter about resorts with the most handy and helpful information on where to stay at Disney I have ever seen. Buy this book, buy last year's Unofficial for 33 cents (the new one is hardly different at all!) and you are set for a great vacation!

This is a complete guide
I have been to
Disney over
15 times and I enjoy getting the new yearly book before we go. This book was a first for me.. I always purchased a certain
guide book
every year but that book never changed its contents. This book is even more up-to-date than the competitors book... This is a must have for anyone visiting
Walt Disney
World this
year!!! EVERY page is color and there are so many little hints they tell you about each ride.. Even how long typical waits can be for the ride lines... They even give you some history about the parks... Everyone needs this book.
