Funny, Inspirational, and Very Detailed!!!,

I laughed out loud throughout this book, Harlan's a wonderful storyteller. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in how the biz works whether you want to be a VO, producer/director, or on the tech side. Being on the tech side myself, as a recording engineer I have a new understanding and respect of what the VO goes thru in a session. I especially enjoyed Harlan's studio term definitions, something every new VO needs to know to feel comfortable in a session.

Highly recommeded!

An excellent read for all, not just those interested in voice-over work. The format is not your typical 'how to...' format, but rather the author's story of how his career led him to be one of the most well-known and sought after voice actors of his time. This is the kind of book that you just can't put down once you have started reading it.

Balanced approach

Hogan does a nice job of breaking things down into simple terms while making an effort not to talk down to the reader. That style then blends well with the storytelling, making it a much more enjoyable read than other VO books I've read.

Get Me Harlan Hogans Book !!

When a fellow VO friend of mine told me that Harlan Hogan had written a book (No !! I didn't ask if crayons came with it !!) Mr Hogan is a major VO talent in our industry .I have grown up with his voice and I absolutely had to have his book . Thank you Harlan for taking us behind the scenes and letting us take an entertaining and educational look over your shoulder in the Voice-over booth . Whether you're a fledgling Voice-actor(like myself ) a seasoned professional (you'll recognize some session characters ) or just wondered who is that voice and how do they do that exactly, VO:Tales and Techniques is great reading.

Thanks Harlan !! Thats a Take !!
