This book sits next to my Bible, and I read it every night.

I bought this book because a friend told me about how she had bought it for her daughter and also read it herself. Now that I have the book, I'm telling everyone to buy it too. Each prayer is written as if you were talking to God. This book is definitely for Christian women and girls who want to speak to God but don't know what to say. The prayers are beautiful poems that express exactly how people feel inside about problems like fear, loneliness, confusion, doubt, and anger. Instead of just feeling guilty or bad about things, I turn to the pages of Prayers On My Pillow to find the words for praying to my Savior. It's important that people know about this book. Please, spread the word. I am.

This book should be on the bedside table of every teenage girl, no, every girl and woman in the country. It is the most valuable tool for building self esteem I have ever read. The poems are more than just lovely words. They actually make you feel good about yourself after reading them. Many make you cry. I bought this book first for a niece, then for myself even though I am a grown woman, and, finally two more copies for my two daughters who have gone off to college. And that's just for starters. I haven't felt this way about a book in a long time because it's more than a book, it's love. A mother's love for her daughter. The poems are very simple, written in ways that all of us understand and can relate to. Don't be put off by the simplicity, though, because the poems stay with you. They are inspirational because they touch deep inside to feelings you didn't remember you had. What else can I say except, Mothers, buy this book! I bought this book for my daughter, and she loves it. She reads a prayer every night. Sometimes we read them together, sometimes she reads them by herself. The prayers make her feel better about herself because she can use them to talk about her emotions. She has a lot of problems with school and friends and she hates the way she looks. Since I gave her this book, she seems to be a little happier with herself. Even a little is a lot when your daughter is 13. I strongly recommend this book.

These prayers are medicine for the soul.

I don't know what to say about this book except that I heard about it from a friend and bought it because I was feeling depressed. I wish I could express how these poems make me feel. At first I cried every time I read one, but the honest truth is, they make me feel better, like taking a pain reliever for the spirit. All I can say is that I have never in my entire life read words that work like the ones in this book. If you have an ache in your heart or if you know someone who is unhappy, get this book. I don't understand how Celia Straus wrote these, or where she has been or who she is, but it doesn't matter because I love this book.
