Standing in the Light : My review
This book is the best
dear
america
I have ever read. I recently finished reading it for the fourth time. It is about a quaker girl named Catherine who is captured by Lenape indians. It is the story of the triumph over her fears, and the love that she finds when she goes into the lions den that keeps you on your toes. She must learn to do things that she would never normally do, and begins to think like a Lenape. I love this book. I am 12, but have a college grade reading level, and I still love this book! It makes me cry every time I read it it's a classic!

My thoughts
Mary Pope Osborn did a very good job on her book. The life of Catherine, the main character, was so interesting and sad. Once you read this book you are off to a new journey.
Standing
in the
Light
touches your heart so deeply you actually feel like crying. This book is worth all the time you spend reading it. You wont want to get your hands off this fiction/historical book. A big mind movie goes along with every word you read. You feel as though you aren?t reading a book at all, but watching a movie that you created with your sound affects. Agian, I recommend this book for everyone, and have fun!

Captivating
Catherine is a girl who is taken by a group of Natives and is forced to learn their ways of life. She has complete hate towards them and has no intention on staying with them. As she begins to understand them her views change from hate to love. She falls in love with one of them and is now not so willing to go back to her former way of life. This book was most interesting because of the deep emotion that was put into it. And the vivid pictures it produced in my mind
Standing in the Light- A Review
The book called
Standing
in the
Light
by Mary Pope Osborne is a very good book. It is written in
diary form
. The story takes place in Delaware Valley, Pennsylvania in 1763. The main characters are
Catharine
Logan
and her little brother, Thomas Logan. In Standing in the Light, Catharine realizes that she likes a guy who she's known for a long time. Later she finds out that there are Indiansnear where she lives that have beencapturing and killing people. One day when she and her brother were walking to school they get captured by Indians. They separated Catharine from Thomas. In Catharine's camp she meetsan Indian boy named Wine-lo-wich, which means Snow Hunter, who was also captured by Indians when he was young. Catharine laterrealizes that she loves Snow Hunter. Soon after that Snow Hunter disappearsafter he goes on a hunting trip. If you want to find out what happened to Snow Hunter and if Catharine and Thomas ever get home, you'll have to read Standing in the Light by Mary Pope Osborne. I thought that it was a wonderful book.
