The Girl With The Silver Eyes
Katie is a
girl with
strange telekenetic powers. She sees herpowers as a good thing, but others sometimes don't.Even her parentsdont feel too comfortable around Katie! She learns while eavesdropping one night that her powers might have something to do with her mother's former employees. So she runs away to find the other kids who might be like her. After finding them , her and her friends get an offer to go to a special school for kids with weird powers like theirs where no one would make fun of them or tease them. Do they go? You have to read the book to find out!

Unforgettable Book
I read this book when I was about 10 years old. I now teach 6th grade reading and my school has implemented the Accelerated Reader program. I found this book on the list and decided to take the test. I loved this book so much as a child and read it so many times that the plot and details have stuck with me for over 15 years! I got a 90% on the test! I couldn't believe it. It just goes to show that what you read as a child really does have an impact. I have suggested that many of my students read this book as well. It's wonderful!

A Fascinating Story
This book was definitely different from other books I have read in a good way. The main character is Katie Welker. She has
silver
eyes
and telekinetic powers. She is used to being alone in an apartment all day long. She would rather be alone than being with other kids her own age. When she tries to make friends they don't accept her. They are too threatened by her appearance and her powers. Even her own family feels threatened by her! Can you imagine what that must feel like? On top of not being able to make friends another horrible thing happens. Katie overhears a neighbor saying that they might have caused her very own grandmother's death. You have to read the book and see of they catch her listening and find out if she can find more people with silver eyes! I feel that this book was well written. If you do not have patience I don't suggest this book for you. You have to wait for all of the action to begin. But it is worth the wait! I would mostly recommend for
girls ages
8 to 12. If you would just like a good book to read this is the one for you.

one of my favorites
This was one of my favorite books when I was in middle school. The characters seem real and the situation is fantastic enough to keep you interested. This will definately be a book I recommend to both my sons and daughters.
The Girl With The Silver Eyes
I like this book because of it's mystery. It has a mysterious charm added to it's funny things, like the horrible babysitters who watch TV all day or when she goes to Jackson Jone's sisters' slumber party. It has a little sceince fiction in it, but is made up for that with it's scariness sometimes. The whole book is fantastic, especially the way Katie can telepathically move things.
