Incredible!

I loved "Coast Road" and read it in a day, I just could not put it down. The next time I pick up a Barbara Delinsky book I am going to make sure I clear my calendar for the day. Other books that I loved from this author are "Within Reach" and "Heart of the Night".

Excellent

This is the second Barbara Delinsky book I've read and it hooked me. This story is wonderful. I was amazed at how you knew everything about Rachel, but she was comatose for the majority of the book. It also reminds you to appreciate the things you have when you have them. I would strongly recommend this book!

Finding your way back to what's really important...

An ex-husband is forced to become primary care-giver to his 2 daughters while his ex-wife lies in a coma. In the process he discovers his life isn't what he wants and finds what he wants.

I enjoyed the book written from the guy's perspective. All the friends of the ex-wife were interesting and I wished I could have learned more about them. This is the 2nd Delinsky book I've read and they were both enjoyable reads.

A very insightful story

Believe the friend who tells you that you will love this book. Settling down with what I thought would be just another break-up and make-up book, I was surprised to find a remarkably insightful story. Delinsky beautifully examines the time it takes to heal past and present wounds, both physically and emotionally. In different ways, each character wishes for one thing with their voices and another in their hearts. We meet characters who are at times stubborn, tired, confused, frustrated and even sarcastic; I could see someone I know in each one of them. I could even catch a glimpse of myself in a few places. This story made me wonder what would happen if someone had to instantly step into my life. What would my friends and family think about me?

A story of finding truth and forgiveness!

Several in a book group read this. We all enjoyed deeply. Kept wanting it to move a little faster, but once it we got to the end, we appreciated where the author took this book.
