ANOTHER HOME RUN

ANN RULE reinforces her status as the best true crime author EVER. NO REGRETS is a compelling read. As always when reading ANN RULE, I felt a need to reach into the book and protect each victim from his/her inevitable fate. The short stories that follow the book length feature are tragic but brilliantly written and filled with ANN's signature compassion. This is another ANN RULE book that I will add to my collection and re-read in a few years.

No Regrets

I looked forward to the release of this book as I have all of Ann Rule's books. The Sea Captain and the half dozen other cases in this book are amazing,sad stories about people that kill with no regrets. Ann gives a powerful argument about the M'Naughton Rule in "To Save They Souls." That is a rule I believe we have all wondered about at times. With this book Ann Rule demonstrated once again why she is the greatest true crime writer of our time. I found the book totally fascinating. No Regrets is an absolute must read.

"No Regrets" at all!

Ann Rule is the best. She has truly outdone herself in her new book "No Regrets". She consistently writes true stories, about troubled people, and we not only learn the facts, but I always feel like I get to know the characters because of her excellent writing style. I have read all her books, and there isn't a "stinker" among them! If you want to read a book that makes you regret having to go to sleep, eat, or go to the bathroom, buy "No regrets"! I've already put in an order for her new book coming out next year! She's the best! I can always depend on her to tell a great story...in a great way!

TOP OF THE LINE !!

I HAVE JUST FINISHED READING "NO REGRETS". AS USUAL IT IS THE TOP OF THE LINE IN TRUE CRIME WRITING. VERY FEW AUTHORS ARE IN ANN'S LEAGUE. HER BUILDING OF THE CHARACTERS, THE PICTURES AND THE WRITING KEEP YOU READING TILL YOU FINISH THE BOOK. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I HAVE BEEN READING ANN FOR 22 PLUS YEARS, STARTED WHEN SHE WAS ANDY STACK. WHAT A KICK IT MUST HAVE BEEN TO FINALLY BE PUBLISHED UNDER HER OWN NAME. SHE IS SO GOOD AT WHAT SHE DOES . . AND THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT SO GOOD FOR US. SHE ALWAYS GIVES CREDIT TO THE DETECTIVES AND/OR THE POLICE DEPT., NEVER TAKING ANY FOR HER SELF. NO WONDER THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO TALK TO HER SINCE SHE WAS ONCE A COP HERSELF. SHE KEEPS THEIR CONFIDENCES AND SHE TELLS US OF THE VICTIMS. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY OTHER TRUE CRIME WRITER THAT CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO HER. ANYTIME YOU SEE A BOOK BY ANN RULE YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH.
