Inspiring
This was the best book I have ever read. I bought 2 copies (1 for mom, 1 for son). I now have to buy another copy to keep one for myself because it's the type of book that you could read it over and not get sick of it.
Life Affirming and Changing
This book is a life affirming and deeply personal autobiography of two men...written by both. It is a wonderful and inspiring journey and has the potential to change your life. I cried, and am feeling very introspective. I hope to allow this book to continue it's message through me.

I Couldn't Put This Book Down!
I read this entire book within a
day
and half. Every free moment, I would run back and read another chapter. The chapters are written in Denver's words and then the next chapter would be in Ron's words. The story gave me a new perspective on homeless people. It also illustrated in such raw detail the prejudices that exist(ed) in our Country. I have nothing but compassion and a heavy he
art
for African American people that had to face such ugly racism. I am going to see these Authors at my Church and if I find my voice, I will let
them know
how grateful I am that they shared this story with the world.
**The Critic that gave this book a bad review didn't read where the proceeds of this book would go to the Mission in Fort Worth.

A Message We Need to Hear
Four months ago, my aunt in Fort Worth, TX sent me this book. It sat around almost a month before I picked it up. Once I got into this book, I didn't want to put it down and then couldn't wait to share it. Now, my mother, my sister, my husband, and so many of our friends have read it. We had to buy two extra copies to keep passing around. It is a one of a
kind true
story. My aunt knew this story personally. It happened in Dallas-Fort Worth. This is a must read!
