Great Read

This book is so well written I can see why everyone has given it 5 out of 5 stars.

Not just for catholics.

I wish I could have read this book 20 years ago. Very insightful. An enjoyable read that I know I will read at least a second time. This book has strengthened my faith and my appreciation for the Mass. Every point the author makes is backed up with Biblical references. This book will help any non-Catholic understand what the Mass is about and why it is different from all other Christian services.

Seeking the Presence of God?

The Lamb's Supper will help you experience that quest. Scott Hahn clearly and rationally reveals the connections between
the Old and New Testaments and how they are completed in the
Eucharistic Liturgy. This book will help you appreciate and
sense the wonder of the presence of God at each Mass. I have given each of my children the gift of The Lamb's Supper and
feel indebted to Scott Hahn for his extraordinary contribution.

theology for the intellect and the heart brings home the meaning of the mass and the book of revelation

Once again, Scott Hahn drives home what theology should be all about... something that not only makes us understand, but more than that, something that brings us closer to God.
In this book, he clearly shows that the Scripture, Tradition and the Early Fathers are all in agreement that the Mass and the Book of Revelation bring us the same reality -- the Lamb's Supper!
Even though it serves as an overview of the Mass, the first part of the book by itself is enough to give the reader a clearer understanding of the Mass, taking us through the parts of it, its history and development and how it is rooted in the Bible.
The latter part discusses the relationship of the Mass to the Book of Revelation. Suddenly, you will find yourself surprised at the evident parallelisms most Bible readers miss. From this, it becomes very clear that the Book of Revelation is not only about the end days, but more importantly also a book that makes us understand how we participate in God's banquet for us here on earth.
In the end, you'll find yourself seeing Mass in a different way. It will never be the same again for you. To sum it up, you'll be able to go beyond its surface -- "So what if it's boring, if I don't like this or that? This is God's Mass and there are greater realities involved far, far greater than those trivial things."
What are those realities you shouldn't live without? Find out by reading this book.
