Dexter - Season 1

The story is wonderful - how interesting how invested you get in a serial killer - you really want him to "win". The acting is great - love Michael Hall - All the Characters are done well and explained well. The banter & conversations are smart & witting except when they shouldn't be. Great Series.

This show is suspensful and funny. It's interesting to see how he manages a double life so easily.

innovative but "deb" is ANNOYING"!

A wonderful show! I love this show but the one flaw is the character Deb, Dexter's sister. The actress who plays deb has NO TALENT and is whiny and annoying! she is so stupid! i cannot understand why the lieutenant cannot figure out that dexter is the one solving his sister's casses! she is a bitch! too bossy and extremely selfish! I still have to watch 2 more episodes and i wish that the ice truck killer will kill deb! can't bear to see her in seasons 2 and beyond! julie benz is a wonderful and gifted actress! i had loved her in ANGEL when she played darla.

This Is A T.V. Show

First: The main theme of all the negative reviews seems to be "This show glorifies killing." Yes, it does. But there's something very important that we all need to realize and come to understand: We have been killing each other since we first appeared on this planet. Hitler didn't watch Dexter. Genghis Khan didn't watch Dexter. The two idiots that shot up Columbine didn't watch Dexter. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that none of our history's most notorious killers and criminals have ever seen the show Dexter.

I love this show. I think it's the best show on television right now. Am I going to run out and start taking out criminals because I think Dexter is one of the best shows I've ever seen? No. Will someone else? Possibly, but that desire was already there.

I've read a lot of great arguments for and against watching this show, and I've drawn this conclusion: If you people used the passion that you put into writing your reviews for something that actually mattered, we'd all be better off.
