What a great idea!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book! I did not find the jumps from the different character stories to be confusing at all, due to the way that Ms. Noble was able to connect them all so seamlessly to one another. If anything, these different perspectives served to aide in the advancement of the plot and the creation of depth within the storyline. Could one say that the ending might turn out to be a bit obvious? ...Maybe... But who cares?! It was a great read!
Moreover, a FANTASTIC idea - getting to know someone better by sharing experiences from all over the alphabet! Brilliant! I'm happily married and I plan to make a proposal to my husband that we play our own "Alphabet Game" with activities in and around our home city of Philadelphia and the surrounding places on the East Coast! I can't wait to see what he'll come up with and what spice we can add to our relationship as a result! I'd recommend this novel to ANYONE!!!

Loving It!!!

I am more than half- way through this totally delightful, funny, yet poignant novel. I am shocked that women are confused by the characters. This is not difficult reading. It is light chic lit. I would think eighth graders could easlily keep track of the well drawn characters (though the content is not appropriate for that age group). If you are of average intelligence you should have NO trouble reading this book. Natalie and Tom are so cute and clever with each other, even though Natalie has not yet realized that they are so well suited. I love receiving history of what happened to each character prior to the current story line, (from the author), discovering what has brought each character to the place where they are now. This is the kind of novel to read when you want to get lost in a book. Nothing else is getting done around my house today. All I want to do is read! Don't let those who are clearly not the sharpest readers, sway you away from buying and reading this lovely, simply fun book.

Confusing but still fun.

At the beginning of the book, it is very easy to get confused. But after a while you understand the main characters and get along with the story. Overall alphabet weekends is a fun read and you will be glad that you read it.

Natalie and Tom have been best friends forever, but Tom wants them to be much more. When Natalie's longtime boyfriend walks out on her just when she thinks he's going to propose, Tom offers her a different and wildly romantic proposition. He suggests that they spend twenty-six weekends together, indulging in twenty-six different activities from A to Z, and at the end of that time Tom's convinced they'll be madly in love. Natalie, however, is not so sure.

As Natalie's touring the alphabet with Tom, her mother's going through her own romantic crisis?while Tom's unhappily married sister-in-law, Lucy, struggles with temptation. And over the course of six amazing months, three generations of passionate dreamers are going to discover that, no matter how clever they are, love?and life?is never as easy as A, B, C . . .
