This is a good carry-around pocket Medicine book!

A lot of times on Medicine rotation you have a few moments to read. While Harrison's would be nice, sometimes your brain can use an easier read like this book. It still has a lot of useful facts and I really like the way the cases are layed out and organized. That said it is NOT complete, so supplement your studying, but you should know this by now.

Essential

Perfect mix of questions, examples , and content to compliment your other medicine review material. I used this along with fist aid and the usmle questions in my prep for the shelf exam and I wouldn't change a thing.

outstanding

Case Files Internal Medicine was soooo helpful to me during IM rotation. Really helped me prepare for exam. Really brings things together in an easy to understand way. Highly recommended.

Awesome for IM Clerkship!

very thorough discussions of many medical problems and everything you should think about when given a case.

awesome review book

This is a great text for reviewing some of the common symptoms patients present with. My only critique would be that I would prefer it to be organizing by organ system. I understand that the authors want it to be more life-like, not knowing what your patients going to come in with. But since my medicine clerkship is organized into sub-specialties, it would have helped me if it were organized into organ systems.
