A great series but...

minus 1 star for fiddling with the originals. As a fan of the original series I wanted to try and track down my own set of these books for my 3 year old son and have had some difficulty identifing the different stages from each other due to the lack of pictures and information. So for all of you who like me are familar with the Kipper books and would like to purchase them but don't know what your getting let me try and be of some assistance.

Stage 2 stories is made up as follows:
1 The Toy's Party
2 New Trainers
3 A New Dog
4 What a Bad Dog!
5 The Go-kart
6 The Dream.

Originally Floppy made his first appearance in stage one but the authors have somewhat found a way around this by re-writing all these books in the past tense, the originals were in the simple present tense.

Apart from my griping about the changes from the original these are fantastic books for young kids and are wonderfully illustrated, (although the Irish setter in "A New Dog" has been replaced by something else). My 3 year old son continues to find something new to be amused by within the illustrations, i.e. the reoccuring spectacles which randomly appear throughout the books but don't appear to belong to anyone.
