Love it.

Purchased this for my eleven year old daughter and she loves it. I was worried that it might be too young for her but that has not been the case at all. She loves how most pages have an explanation or something that teaches her. She goes to a Christian school where they have bible time every day and feels like she has all ready learned from this bible.

Very Nice

Purchased for my nine year old's birthday, this bible is very hip without being too little girl. Sidebars are frequent and helpful and the personal scenarios included are nice to solidify a point. I do not have the women of faith bible, but I have considered getting it to go along with my daugheter's new bible.

Great Bible for girls

I have bought this Bible for all 3 of my girls. It is clear & easy to understand.

Young Women of Faith Bible

We have really been happy with this Bible for our daughter, age 13. It has explanations of the books of the Bible as well as additional blocks of age-appropriate explanatory information throughout the chapters. Well-laid out and very attractive to use. Very informative and educational.

Excellent bible for girls

I purchased this bible for my daughter on her 8th birthday. There are many great features like journal topics, memory verses, a short introduction to each book, and side notes with insights to bible terms or people the girls might not be familiar with to help their understanding of why what's being said is significant (What is a fig?, What is a cistern?, The Most Holy Place, Justification).

There is a weekly study index with 52 studies: "I'm becoming a woman of faith." Each study is broken into three parts. 1. Introduction to the topic. Includes questions to ask yourself to see if you are growing in this area. 2. Read about it. This gives at least one other place to turn in the bible to read a story that helps you understand the topic more. 3. Experience it. Now you apply it to your life. If you own the Women of Faith bible, these studies are linked. There is a small illustration of a cute girl on each study page.

There is also a Dictionary of Terms.

What I would like to see changed is simple: put the words of Jesus in red. It would also be great if they marked Old Testament prophecies of Jesus. (This is why I don't give it five stars)

The bible is written in a more of a story format (paragraphs). This makes it easy to read through (and probably more appropriate for a younger girl). Each chapter number is highlighted with a hot pink circle.

The recommended age group is 9-12, but it could certainly be used for a younger child. My 6 year old can read it with minor difficulty, and she understands the concepts.

My daughter and I are both delighted with this bible. I'm a stickler for KJV, but wanted something that would be easier for her to understand and make her hungry to read more. This bible has done it. We enjoy reading out of both our translations and discussing. I would highly recommend this bible!
