Not just for teens!

I ordered a few books on Amazon last summer and Twilight was recommended to me. I never did get around to reading it. After seeing the movie trailor I decided to give it a try. Wow! I read it in a day and ran to the bookstore for New Moon and Eclipse but couldn't find them. That's when I was directed to the teen section. What?!!

I just finished Eclipse today. While I don't care for the poster or t-shirt transfers, I did appreciate the sneak peek into the 4th book. I also was happy to see over 600 pages for this one. Several times I thought to myself that it would have been easy for the book to end. Stephenie could have split it up into 2 or even 3 separate books, made more money, and kept us wanting just a little longer. I appreciate that she didn't.

What I love about these books is that the story never gets to the point where I find it okay to dog-ear a page and continue on another day. And as the on-coming pages become fewer and fewer I find myself thinking "nooooo, let it go on a little longer". As greedy as it sounds over 600 pages was not enough! ;)

Vamp it Up Ms. Meyer

If you love Vampire sagas, this one is great!!! The whole series is awesome. It is the perfect combination of love, teenage angst, and the inescapable draw of vampire lore. This book, in particular, with the sneak peak chapter, of the coming 4th book in August, only makes you thirst for "more". Ms. Meyer's series is bound to give J.K. Rowling a run for her literary money. :a)

Awesome book

This is an excellent book. If I had not already bought the book I would buy it because of the extras, but I do already own it, so I am not going to pay for it again. I am going to go to the book store to read the first chapter of "Breaking Dawn". I hope that this book does not get a bad rap because the publishers are trying to make more money but this is not the first time this type of thing has happened nor will it be the last. Another reviewer implied that S. Meyer was enjoying the sales of this book but that she might not really be sorry she could not post the first chapter from "Breaking Dawn" on her websight. I disagree with that reviewer. Please go to website and read what her and her brother have actully wrote about their feelings on the subject. Do not give this edition of the book a bad review because the publisher wanted to make more sales! The book story line did not change and this is still a very thought out, well-writtin book. I hope whoever reads this enjoys the book and the extras it offers. Remember this is the same book from when it was published the first time!!

Wow!...that's all I can say

I have been an avid fan of Ann Rice's Vampire books for many years. I was surprised when a book buyer that I had met recommended these books, and took her up on it. I purchased them and read all three in one week. These books are definitely not just for teens. The love and compassion from these characters is amazingly written about. The idea that vampires could live amongst people and not hurt them (and actually save them like Carlisle), and then fall in love with a human is an odd idea. But it makes for a great story. I'm in love with the entire Cullens family, as I am with Jacob and his family. Not since reading the Harry Potter books or Ann Rice's books have I felt this way. But it's with this love that I'm excited to read the final book in August and wait for Midnight Sun when it comes out. Stephenie has done an amazing job of bring the reader into her world with vivid colour and texture, weaving love and hatred together like a beautiful tapestry. I look forward to reading many more of her books in the years to come.
