Martin & Porter DVD & Video Guide 2007

The movie information is as I expected, fairly complete and up-to-date. This was an update of an older version. Type size has been reduced to the point where it is very difficult to read and use. I probably will not buy this version again.

Great Book - was not in good shape

I love these books, I get one for my husband every year. However, it did not arrive in great shape. The edges were worn down and cracked. Not sure it happen in transit of if it was sent out that way. Otherwise, I like the book.

Great for looking up movies by title or by cast member. Print is small for old eyes, though!

Martin and Portin Video Guide

For the past 15 years I have used the Martina and Porter DVD and Video Guide as my movie encyclopedia. I find that for the most part their reviews match my movie preferences--and I use the guide as a reference to help me recall the names of directors, movies, and actors.

As for the 2008 edition--my understanding is that Ballantine Publishers dropped the contract with Martin and Porter, but a new 2008 edition will be produced with a different publisher before the end of 2008.
