Mistress Series

This is the first time I have read this author and was very impressed. Am now rushing off to buy the next two books in the series.

First book that I read from the author

The title of this book got me intrigue and so I bought it. I wasn't dissapointed; I could hardly put it down. I liked the way the author brings the characters to life and works the chemistry between the hero and heroine. This one is a keeper!

My Fair Mistress

When Julia Hawthorne learns that her brother owes money to ruthless
business man, Rafe Pendragon, she knows she must find a way to repay
the debt. Although Julia is attracted to Rafe's dangerous looks and
sensual charisma, she never thought she would agree to Rafe's wicked
proposal.

Rafe can't believe Julia agreed to his proposition. To cancel her
brother's debt, Julia will be his mistress for six months. Rafe never
imagined the pleasure he finds with the passionate Julia and he
certainly never imagined his heart may become engaged by his temporary
mistress.

I've enjoyed Tracy Anne Warren's writing to date but I must say that
My Fair Mistress is my favorite book by far! Surprisingly steamy with
a hero who is dark and delicious, I loved My Fair Mistress and have
high hopes for the next in this series.

Excellent Historical Romance Story

This was my first time reading Warren's work, and I have to say she is a new favorite author of mine. This novel is everything I expect out of a historical romance. Good solid characters, a variety of emotions, lots of passion and of course a happy ending. Could not put the book down. I will definitely be seeking out her other books. I wish her much success with her career as an author.

I'm lovin it!

I'm half way through this book, and I'm loving it. I was a little put off by the lack luster reviews so had decided not to read it, but then I found it in a second hand book story and bought it. Boy am I glad I did. It gripped me from the beginning and so far has not let me down. Unlike other romance writers I've read, Ms. Warren actually has a plot and tells a story. There is sex (love scenes) in the book, but that's not what the book is about.

I will read the other two book and probably the other selections as well. Please don't be put off. This book is worth the money.

ETA: I finished the book and for me, it was one of the best historical romance novels I have read. I plan on reading it again. I love Jane Austen, and for some reason, Rafe made me think of Fitzwilliam Darcy. Any book that can do that is a keeper for me!
