Kay Stockham Rocks!!!

This was another great story by Kay!!! I loved the characters. It was a sweet story that had a lot of real issues we deal with today like blended families and single parenting. I can't wait for the next book in the series that will be out this summer!!

Great Start to Tulanes of TN series!

Since others have detailed the heartwarming plot, I'll just say that I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the four main characters in the two love stories. Kay Stockham is on my "to buy" list, and this book is on my keeper shelf. I look forward to future stories about the Tulanes of Tennessee!

Another Sensational Book

Kay Stockham's Another Man's Baby is a heartwarming story about love in the most unlikely places.

A scared and pregnant Darcy Rhodes is driving thru Tennessee on her way to Indiana to start over. When she suddenly slides off the road during a severe winter storm. A stranger stops to help her and takes her to the nearest hospital when she is having contractions. After being treated so terribly by her baby's father, Darcy is drawn to this kind man.

Garrett Tulane can't let Darcy spend the night alone in the hospital lobby after being discharged. With no hotels with rooms available he offers his home he shares with his brother. Even though Garrett has an almost fiancee he is drawn to Darcy's quiet strength.

Garrett and Darcy are thrown together by chance but you can feel fate has a hand in their meeting. Their road to romance is filled with obstacles besides his girlfriend and her pregnancy. Something between these two will have you routing for them to overcome it all.

Kay Stockham's Another Man's Baby is deeply moving as well as sensual. The path to love is never easy and its sometimes messy. The characters and their problems are real and powerful. Even Garrett's almost fiancee gets her chance at true love which is an extra gem in this book. Kay's books are a must read and will stay with you long after you are finished. I am waiting for the next Tulane story to hit the shelves.

Another great one from Stockham

What Kay Stockham does consistently well is write complex emotional scenes and stories. She goes the extra mile. In another writer's hands the hero could have come off as arrogant and selfish, but Stockham makes him real. The heroine was endearing and honest. Another writer may have made the girlfriend more villainous or two-dimensional. Stockham didn't take the easy way out, but made her a character the reader cares about.

I have yet to read a book by Kay Stockham that I didn't like. I highly recommend her books to anyone who likes romance with emotional depth.

Great story!

Another great book by one of my favorite authors. Kay Stockham has a way of writing complex emotional scenes that bring tears to my eyes. Darcy is a very real character who struggles with her mother's emotional abandonment. Past hurts make it difficult for her to understand how she can be a good mother to the child she now carries. Darcy's sense of abandonment is particularly heightened when the father of her child refuses to have anything to do with Darcy after she announces her pregnancy. Only a very special hero can help Darcy overcome the baggage she carries from her childhood. Ms. Stockham delivers with a hero who is perfect for Darcy.

This is one of those books you don't want to put down. Thanks to Kay Stockham, the dishes are piled up in my sink. The bathroom needs cleaned and the laundry never got folded. But it was worth it! Can't wait for the next book.

Garret Tulane is Darcy Rhodes's personal knight in shining armor. Not only did he rescue her from being stranded in the middle of a snowstorm, but he's also given her a place to stay. His close family ties and his caring support create the secure home life she wants to give her unborn child. That security is an illusion, however. Despite the growing closeness between Darcy and Garret, she knows he has obligations and commitments that don't include her--or another man's baby. But feeling as she does, when the time comes, will she be able to walk away?
