High School Crush

Her Kind of Man this is a good book from beginning to end. Pamela takes us down high school memory lane with this book. We meet MaKalya Stevens a 1st grade teacher, who has had a crush on Kenyon Blake since high school. MaKalya is having a problem with one of her student in her class his behavior is getting out of control so MaKayla call a teacher-parent conference in hopes of getting thing under control. The mother of student (Terrance) decided not to make the meeting and instead send the Uncle to take the meeting. Guess who is surprise when she find out who the Uncle is Kenyon Blake the guy she has had the crush on since high school and tutor him in math while in school. MaKalya is so scare that she think Kenyon is going to remember her from high school. High school was not the best time for MaKayla it seem that everything in her life at the time was going wrong. MaKayla felt unattractive, over weight and a outkast in school. Her one bright spot was when she was ask to tutor the QB. After 15 years Makayla has blossomed into a wonderful woman but the one thing that has stayed with her is her love for Kenyon Blake. The moment he meet MaKayla he is taken and Kenyon has already decided he WANTS MaKayla. There are few bump in the ROAD for them but in the end it is SMOOTH sailing. If I keep talking about the book I will give it away but this is a must read and I highly recommend. Just Remember Kenynon is a man who knows what he want and he wants MaKayla. Oh can't forget the love scene between them. They are HOT.

GO OUT AND BUY THE BOOK.

Cute read

I thought this was a cute read. Some of it was a little unbelievable but still cute. There were definite "awww" moments. And then there were some "are you kidding me" moments as well. Makayla was a little naive but not too bad. She still had a backbone in some areas. I liked this book. I would recommend it. I read it in 2 days. I could've read it faster than that but 2 days is still good.

A Man Of No Words But All Action

Pamela Yaye's third novel is an exuberant piece that deals with social changes that many authors will not approach for fear of mishandling the issue. However, Her Kind Of Man takes the issues that are considered fragile social and she turns it into a story that has its issues and brings to life two characters who each has their issues but finds the ultimate relationship between each other.

Makayla Stevens is a elementary teacher who has had her issues growing up but after getting over her slight teenage problems she has proven to those around her that her devotion to deal with issues from the past. When she meets a blast from the past she finds herself devastated to not allow Kenyon find out whom she really is. When Kenyon express interest in her she does not know where or what to do with his nephew being a student of hers and his sister-in-law being a menace Makayla is hesitant to deal but when Kenyon takes his flamboyant position on life on her she finds herself loving it.

Kenyon Blake was the everything that the girls wanted in high school even Makayla Stevens however, Kenyon saw Makayla as a friend and his saving grace from flunking high school. Kenyon is enthralled with Terrance's teacher and won't take no for a answer when he finds himself dealing with his past he decides that nothing will stop him from having the girl who has his eyes.

Pamela Yaye takes a step outside of the regular romance novels and adds a little flair from weight issues to simply bad kids in schools. With the humor and the writing style Pamela is an author I look forward to reading more from.

Nothing Special

This book was okay, at times I found it to be a bit predictable. It never really drew me in.

Makayla Stevens has blossomed since high school, but one thing hasn't changed: Kenyon Blake still turns her knees to jelly. Back then, she had thick glasses and braces, and he was a gorgeous football star. Now he's the uncle of one of her students, and he's made it plain he'd like to get to know her outside the classroom. The reality is even hotter than her teenage fantasies, but getting involved with a student's relative could mess with her career, and her peace of mind.

Kenyon's not giving up, not before teaching Makayla a few things?about long, slow kisses, sizzling passion and listening to your heart.?
