I LOVE this book!

This is my most favorite book from when I was a child, and one that I recommend the most! The illustrations are great, and there are so many things on the pages that you can point out with a child. I am very happy that this got released again, and have since bought three to share with family and friends.

It's also a very sturdy book for the little guys and gals out there.

Classic childrens' book with beautiful illustrations

I'm starting a collection of classic stories for my two-month old baby girl, and I HAD to include this one. The reviewers before me described it perfectly; a lovely and gentle story of a little bunny who details his sweet daily activities throughout the four seasons. There are absolutely gorgeous illustrations dispersed throughout the book, by Richard Scarry, a legend in childrens' books. It's just a perfect book (love the board book; nice and sturdy for all the up-and-coming wear and tear, I'm sure!) that I can't wait to share with my daughter. Couldn't recommend this book more highly.

Darling book

This is a precious book my two children loved when they were little. We have treasured memories of enjoying this darling book together. I now give it often to "mothers to be" so that they can enjoy it with their little ones too. Beautiful illustrations. Simple, sweet text.

Every child should own this book

I was looking for a gift to buy my boyfriends 4 year old daughter (just turned) when I came across this book. I recognized it immediately... It's the first book I learned to read and read it I did... religiously... 5 or 6 times a day to anyone who would listen :). I closed my eyes trying to remember the pages... butterflys, frogs, dandelions and Nicholas curled up in a tree. I ended up buying this book as much for myself as for his daughter and then worried a ltitle that perhaps she wouldn't love it as much as I had. Not only does she love this book but several times she's surprised us by picking it up and trying to read it all on her own. Mostly from memory and by help of the pictures but it thrills me to know that Nicholas the Bunny is helping to motivate one more child to enjoy the gift of reading :).

Much loved classic

I picked this off the shelf in Barnes and Noble because the bunny has sort of become my son's signature animal (We have many bunny books.). Immediately, I recognized the illustrations-- and my mom confirmed that this was a favorite when I was a child. What a beautifully evocative rendering of the four seasons. It's just very sweet, and my little guy has loved it since he was 6 months old (now 15 months). Great for any time, including nap/bed, as Nicholas the bunny finally curls up for a peaceful sleep in his hollow tree.
