ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS EVER
this book was awesome i loved it and there should be more books out there just like this
You'll see yourself in this book
Dominique had never been in love before. The closest she'd come to being physical with a guy was when playing Operation. She'd never even gone beyond chaste pecks on the mouth. Then she met Wes...as inexperienced as herself, but utterly adorable. And - wonders of wonders - he likes her too. Suddenly Dom experiences a whirlwind of romance, but it's the last semester of high school. Will their relationship survive with their colleges being hundreds of miles apart?
Anatomy
of a
Boyfriend addresses
a teenager's experience of the first serious boyfriend and the first sexual experience. Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed at the way it was approached as it ended up reading most of all like a book version of American Pie, as seen from a girl's point of view. I felt too much time was spent focusing on the sexual aspect of a first boyfriend, and too little on the emotional aspect of it.
And that is a shame, because Daria Snadowsky's strength undoubtedly lies in describing emotions. Her portrayals of the insecurities and the exhilaration of a budding relationship are perfect, and will place any reader right back in the rollercoaster of first love. However, the sex scenes are unnecessarily explicit and not in keeping with the age and experience levels of the people involved.
Anatomy of a Boyfriend is aimed at readers in mid-late teens-and I'd therefore be hesitant to recommend it to readers in the target age group because it takes sex so lightly. I'd rather have seen a book that put more emphasis on the emotional highs and lows of a relationship, and less on the physical. When push comes to shove, it's the emotional dedication that will make or break a relationship.
That one caveat aside I did enjoy the book and took great pleasure in seeing how Dom blossomed once she found someone to love and who loved her back. Also the change in Dom's relationships with her best friend and her parents once a boy entered her life were very true to life and something any reader will recognize from their own experiences.
Armchair Interviews says: Listed as a YOUNG ADULT book, consider the maturity of the reader before recommending because of explicit sexual situations.

OMG
This is the first book Ive read since summer vacation started and I dont think any other book I read this summer will compare. I read it in like a day, seriously. I actually had to go to the bathroom and didnt because I couldnt put the book down. Its that good. I don't recomend it, though, if youre under 15, because some of it gets very "interesting." Otherwise, you have to read it. Theres nothing else like it that Ive read.

ANATOMY
OF A
BOYFRIEND
, author Daria Snadowsky examines first love, sex, and relationships among two teens.
Dominique, a high school senior with dreams of becoming a doctor, meets and quickly develops a relationship with Wes, another senior who attends a different school in town. Things quickly become hot and heavy for the two inexperienced teens, until fall, when they decide to attend colleges on opposite sides of the country. Thus, their feelings for one another change, and they're forced to reevaluate their relationship.
Very similar in plot and character to Judy Blume's young adult classic Forever . . ., Snadowsky still manages to find a unique point of view in her story through Dom. The readers take an adventure with Dom as she discovers many new adult experiences, and feels what it's like to truly love for the first time.
The book provides a very frank look at sex, and can sometimes be very graphic. However, with all of the candidness, the book stands out from other young adult novels that glaze over the reality of high school relationships without really exploring them.
ANATOMY OF A BOYFRIEND is an honest gem that will provide readers with a sincere and at times painful portrayal of adolescent life.

Before this all happened, the closest I'd ever come to getting physical with a guy was playing the board game Operation. Okay, so maybe that sounds pathetic, but it's not like there were any guys at my high school who I cared to share more than three words with, let alone my body.
Then I met Wes, a track star senior from across town. Maybe it was his soulful blue eyes, or maybe my hormones just started raging. Either way, I was hooked. And after a while, he was too. I couldn't believe how intense my feelings became, or the fact that I was seeing?and touching?parts of the body I'd only read about in my Gray's
Anatomy textbook
. You could say Wes and I experienced a lot of firsts together that spring. It was scary. It was fun. It was love.
And then came the fall.
