A Book Unlike Any Other (Jackie's Review)

The Ranger's Apprentice books are an original series with original ideas. Plenty of action, plot, and adventure. And not the kind of action you'd expect, with shiny gadgets and secret illegal orginizations paving the way to destruction. Not this book. It relies on good old lo-tech and enthralling plot to carry it. And it is definately preferrable that way. If you've read it, you'll agree with me. Halt with a Smith

Outstanding Book for Kids

This book is absolutly wonderful. It's great. This book is so interesting that you can not put the book down. There is alot of figurative language and lots of the details. My son was 11 when he read this book. He stayed up till eleven p.m. because he absolutly had to finish it. I recommend this book for anyone who wants plenty of action in their books!

Worth the wait to read!

This book was definitely worth waiting for! The story goes on seamlessly. I can't wait for the next installment!

Extravagating!

This book is a interesting novel and features exciting scenes that you can picture as clearly as if you were there to witness it. John Flanagan in this book produces a whole new adventure for Will and his master Halt. The intensity and breath-taking moments in this book make it a thrilling story. This book will be a great novel for anybody that enjoys fantasy and marvelous performances.

Still far from their homeland after escaping slavery in the icebound land of Skandia, Will and Evanlyn's plans to return to Araluen are spoiled when Evanlyn is taken captive by a Temujai warrior. Though still weakened by the warmweed's toxic effects, Will employs his Ranger training to locate his friend, but an enemy scouting party has him fatally outnumbered. Will is certain death is close at hand, until Halt and Horace make a daring, last-minute rescue. The reunion is cut short, however, when Halt makes a horrifying discovery: Skandia's borders have been breached by the entire Temujai army. And Araluen is next in their sights. If two kingdoms are to be saved, an unlikely union must be made. Will it hold long enough to vanquish a ruthless new enemy? Or will past tensions spell doom for all?

The battles and drama are nonstop in Book Four of this hugely popular epic.
