Fierce and Dark...A must-read!

Being a fan of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes since junior high, "Midnight Predator" doesn't disappoint! With deep character analysis, plenty of action and a compelling ending, this is a vampire book to read! Though I might suspect a sequel judging from how the book was left open...

Love her work!

The first book that I picked up and read was Demon In My View and I fell in love. I've been devouring what books have come out since. So far, I've loved everybook that I've read of hers. My only problem is that there is more vampire stories, yet! She doesn't turn out books at a really fast rate but I think her books are worth the wait!!!

Midnight Review

THE MIDNIGHT PREADTOR

The setting occurs in the present and most of the action occurs in a building called Midnight. Toriqurise Draka is the main character. She has an on going dual with a character name Rayvn. They were both offered a job to kill the first master of the first Midnight, which was burned down in the 1700's. Her name was Jesikah and she is trying to rule again, which is taken as threat by some others vampires. The only way Torqurise and Ravyn could get into Midnight was to sell them selves into slavery and in order to do that they needed another vampire. Torqurise had a buddy who was a vampire and his name was Nathenail. Nanthinel saved Trouqurise from her first master Lord Daryl when she was eighteen. This job was offered by a person who didn't want to be known by the girls.
Lord Daryl had killed Toriqurise's brother, Tommy, and her father in front of her. Nathinel sold her and Rayvn to another vampire named Jaguar who was the new leader of Midnight. There was a little romance going between Jaguar and Torqurise. He had grown very fond of Torqurise. When Ravyn and Troqurise tired to kill Jesikah . Jaguar found out that they where hunters and stopped them from succeeding to kill Jesikah. He had confessed to Trouqurise that he was the anonymous person who had hired them to do his work. He stopped her because he knew once she had done her job she would be killed too, by Jesikah's sister. So instead of that, Jaguar hired someone else, named Jessie. If Jessie had done his job right; Jesikah would be dead,( This is a possible cliff hanger for another book.) At the very end of the book Torqurise killed her first master, Lord Daryl. She also won the dual between Ravyn and herself, but didn't take on the title to become a master of other hunters. A confict in this story is that Torqurise leads a double life and fears that other vampires will find out that she was a hunter. As an example when Lord Daryl, in one scene was hitting her and she could not fight back or the other vampires would have found out that she was a hunter and would've killed her. Another conflict was between her and Ravyn , about who would win the dual. The theme of this book is about good overcoming evil. Torqurise and Jaguar represent the good and Jesikah and Lord Daryl the evil.
This is a fantastic book. I couldn't stop reading it that I had skipped dinner and I really hope the Author will make a second book. If your like me and don't like gory details, but you like suspense, this is the book for you.
