Couldn't put it down. Great action with a female who can pull off "tuff". Can't wait to see if Kate and Curran hook up!

Absolutely Adored

I LOVED this KATEGORIE|/book" class="textlinks">book. Completely original fantasy mixed with a unique perspective on the old sterotypic ideals of creatures. This is definitely not a "skim to read the dialouge" book, in that, all of the words printed on the page have a purpose. No fill-in and not a lot of unnecessary repetition of prior story-lines. Look forward to books to come.

Great start of the new series

This is a great start of a new series. Hopefully it will sell well, and we can see more sequels. (I'm ready to buy:)
A little bit dark for my tastes. Not a typical vampire/ware-animals/magic KATEGORIE|/book" class="textlinks">book. Not enough romance. I was surprised to learn that the writer was born in Russia, and English is her second language. Good work!

Promising new supernatural series

I was looking for new authors and stumbled across Ilona Andrews' new series. I must say that the whole idea of tech/magic fluctuation is very interesting. Very similar to the Tinker series by Wen Spencer.

I think that the collection of characters is very workable and that there is great room for growth for the heroine, Kate Daniels. I look forward to future books.

A great start for a series

I truly enjoyed this KATEGORIE|/book" class="textlinks">book, and the extremely novel world it describes. The only truly disappointing thing about the book was that it left so much open to the next book in the series to explain. Excellent first outing!
