What time is it?

By far the best of the Mercer series. This book is a change of pace for DuBrul, and a welcome one. Still action packed and fast paced; the story itself evolves into the storied Phoenix, as life and death come together as one. I enjoyed the character of Tisa, her mysteriousness folds around the story as it does with Mercer. There's not enough Harry and his cane, but it still deserves 5 stars. I couldn't help but equate the character "Luc", with Jordan's Wheel of Time, but alas another horrifying death to Mercer's credit. The ending should be mentioned because of its power. Is it abrupt? Yes. Does it fit with the story? Definitely. I do wonder if Mercer gets his watch back though. What time is it? It's time for another Mercer adventure. Enjoy.

First Time Reader of DuBrul

Having read his collaboration with Cussler, I couldn't wait to pick up a copy of one of his books. And it proved not to be disappointing at all. His knowledge of geology is written into the book without being boring to the average reader. I enjoyed this book and am thrilled to find another action author to savor.

The Best of Action

This is the third book I have read of DuBrul's. He surely is the equal to Cussler and any other action writer I have read. I found his action along with good research always makes a good read. The geology really was a nice add on to the novel. I also enjoyed the diving but all and all I can only recommend it highly and I will continue to read all his books.
