Outdated, but interesting.

Good book, though slightly outdated nowadays. It's fascinating to see how violinists in the past learned their method of playing, though! Considering how inexpensive the book is, it's worth the small paying price.

This long-awaited republication offers an exposition of the essential features of the system of technical instruction pursued by Joseph Joachim (1831-1907), the greatest violinist and teacher of his era. Topics include tone formation and production, attitude and position of the body, arms, and hands, and more.
