LOVE THIS BOOK

This book is great for young developing eyes! It has the pictures in black and white and then red words. My son loved this book, we would read it to him and he would just stare at the colors. There is one page in particular that he loved and we kept the book open to that page on his changing table for him to look at. I think everyone needs to get this book, its great!!

Really catpures babies attention

Bought a few black and white books and have been showing them periodically since our baby has been only a few days old. He will stare at the book and study things. I've only gotten through the cover and one page but I can see the images really capture the babies attention. Will be using it for months to come. Very nice illustrations. Highly recommended.

It IS worth it!

My three month old loves this book (and has loved it for a month now). The first page with the hands and butterfly can hold her attention for a good minute or two. And she always smiles at the smiling sun/moon face. I "read" it in an animated voice....adding vroom vroom to the "car races" page and meow to the "cat stretches" page and wiggling the book for the "fish swim" page. Interestingly though the "fish swim" page doesn't do anything for her yet (surprising because it is the most dynamic image). Perhaps because it is at the end and with a book this intense a kid can get tired? I'd recommend it highly as a gift and to anyone with an infant.

The most engaging lovely book...

I've been reading this to my 6 month old since he was 3 months old and it's one of his favorites. He loves the contrasting black and white images and the red accent lettering is fabulous. It's a book that will grow with your child as you can concentrate on body parts and counting skills with each page. I love the ending with the stars and the moon. We like to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle little Star" at the end of each reading. It's just the most lovely baby book and we adore it!

early intervention must

This is a wonderful black and white book which will be easy for your infant to show how he/she can track objects. Great stimulation for infants.

Look, look! Children run, fish swim, stars shine . . . all for baby's eyes to see. This sturdy board book, full of high-contrast black-and-white cut-paper art perfect for staring at, is just the thing for the eyes of the youngest babies. A few words in curving red type on each spread describe the scenes -- a car races, a cat stretches, flowers bloom-- and extend the book's age appeal so that it will be fascinating to older babies, too. Striking and stylish, Look Look! is the ideal first board book for babies just beginning to look and learn. Peter Linenthal is an illustrator who has taught art in elementary schools for twenty years.
