PRETTY GOOD

This book was a bit boring but got better and better as i read along. I really liked it!!

So Much Like My Life, It Isn't Funny...

This book, Sunny diary 1, was a good book. It was interesting. but what applealed 2 me most was that sunny and her life are SO MUCH LIKE ME AND MY LIFE!!!!!! It was scary. Here are some similarities:

>Sunny is 13. I am 13.
>Sunny is an only child w/no bros or sis. I am an only child w/no bros or sis.
>Sunny's dad owns a bookstore. My dad owns a bookstore.
>Sunny skips school a lot. I skip school a lot.
>Sunny forges a note from her doctor explaining why she's been missing school. I forge notes saying why i've been away, nearly every day.
>Sunny goes to the beach when she skips school. I go to the beach mostly when i skip school.
>Sunny's last name is Winslow. My last name is Winslew.
>Sunny's mom is terminaly ill w/ lung cancer. my mom is terminally ill n'may die soon with a rare lung disease.
>Sunny wears black clothes now that she's become a rebel coz her moms so sick. Ever since i found out my mom is gonna die, i've been wearing punk clothes.
>Sunny got her belly button pierced in her wild stage in the last book. I got my nose pierced in MY current wild stage.
>Sunny is in grade 8 at school. I am in grade 8 at school.
>Sunny's name is Sunshine. My moms old nickname 4 me was sunshine.
>Sunny's nickname is Sunny. My name is Stacey.
>Sunny hangs out w/ older guys now. I've dated older guys (some aged 18/19) since the age of 12 when i 1st found out bout my mom.
>Sunny's dad yells at her all the time. MY dad can't stop yelling.
>Sunny's best friend Dawn doesn't understand Sunnys situation very much. My exbest friend Dana didn't undertand my situattion at all. that was why we stoped being friends.
>Sunny has dorky teachers. Like Mr Hackett) I have really dorky teachers (when i go 2 school) My english teacher is just like mrhackett. his name is Mr. Lasacket.
>Sunny got drunk in Dawn #1. I get drunk all the time.

SO MANY SIMILARITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And all of this was b4 i read this book or Dawn #1. AMAZING> it was like i was reading 1 of my own diarie. HONESTLY I THINK ANNE MARTIN RESEARCHED my LIFE AND SPILED IT IN SUNNYs DIARYs. The book was totally bout me. scary. freaky-deaky man!!!!!!
so i could relate 2 her problmes cos they were almost the same as mine but i think even pepul who dont have the same or similar problems could relate cos sunny is a very ALIVE and RICH caracter. (not rich as in money)

It's just teenagers life!!

Sunny's so poor.Mrs Winslow died in Sunny#diary 3.I like Sunny,Maggie and Amalia.Dawn is too...like she's a baby!Ducky's ok..Sunny's so wild like me.I'm in high school and i have studs on me.They are the eight-graders from Vista.They are so great!greater than ever!I'm 13 too..and i should know how they feel when they're in high school.Anyway,why does Maggie need to lose weight?Is she fat after all?Obviously,Maggie loves a guy called Justin Randall.While Amalia loves a guy called James...haha!!so California diaries,keep it up!!

This book helped me so much!

My mom was having a nervous breakdown when I first read this book. When I read about Sunny's attempt to run away, I gave up the idea of running away myself. If there are any kids out there who are reading this review, I just want to say that you can't run away from your problems. It's been almost 4 years since my mom was stabilized, and at 16, I can honestly say that I'm happy I didn't run away!
