Not much suspense.

This was probably the worst book in the series when i read the first three books i was like ya this author rights pretty good. I must say i was really excited to read this book. Now i find there is'nt really any cool new charecters the only one i saw that was good was Henna and she died. In this book they didn't use basically any of there magic. This book didn't really have the other three in it I mean i know this is briars book but in others they had close to equal parts but in ths book only about 1/8 really had the other charecters. THe ending wasn't good either because i'm used to seeing them combine there powers but in this book they didn't and the blue pox was very good disease and i loved how it was formed but get real what kind of huge disease has as simple a name as bluuepox. This book also didn't have gorse's cooking I mean come on gorse was cool. And what happened to there training isn't it supposed yo talk about this stuff i mean they didn't learn anything so now i want the author to write one more book for this and you know have it on winding circle talking about what they learned and then have something so powerful happen that the entire world is at stake like lightbridge is planning on taking over winding circle or somethin. Well this is my review.

A fitting conclusion to the series

This book is the final chapter in Pierce's Circle of Magic series. When Briar discovers a street urchin with a strange new disease, he is quick to notify his teacher, Rosethorn. The sickness, later dubbed the Blue Pox, begins to spread and soon becomes a widespread epidemic. As hundreds of people die, Briar must work together with Rosethorn and Dedicate Crane to find a cure for the new disease. When Rosethorn catches the sickness, Briar races against time, desperate to find a cure before his teacher dies.

By the time this book rolls around most of the characters have been fully developed enough to be able to explore the plot more fully. As a result this book focuses mostly on the suspense of the race against time and on Briar's relationship with the usually aloof Rosethorn. Rather than dealing wholly with magic, the quartet of young mages is forced to face nature; in this case a plauge. This is by far the best of the series, it is worth it to read the other three just to get to this one. A true fantasy classic, don't miss out!

Sickness strikes Summersea

Briar Moss, a mage in training and his teacher Rosethorn are away from Winding Circle for a short amount of time. While he's there he sees one of his old 'Street Rat' friends called Flick. She lives in the sewers and Briar finds out that she's sick. He turned to Rosethorn for help but when he finds out that it's too great for ever her power he knows that Summersea is in danger.

Briar and Rosethorn take Flick to a room where nobody can enter except the ones with the disease and the doctors. While they are trying desperatly to help Flick more people come in with the sickness they are now calling Blue pox. It's getting tough for Briar and Rosethorn.

Back at Winding Circle the mage Crane and his workers are trying to find a cure for Blue pox and so far luck hasn't reached them. Finally Tris desides to help and she's doing a good job at it.

Things are about to get better until...Rosethorn gets sick...

The best for suspence!

This is by far my favorite book in the Circle of Magic books. In the book, one of the four young mages living in Dicipline cottage, the plant-mage Briar, is confronted with the horrors of his former life as a street rat. His street friend Flick comes down with a mysterious illness that spreads to infect all of Emelan. Not only must Briar fear for the life of Flick, but for the lives of his foster-sisters, Sandry, Daja, and Tris. What if the plague reaches Winding Circle? What if he catches it himself? When the only person closer to Briar than the girls comes down with the plague, it will take the strength of all four mages to avert disaster. Can they find a cure before it's too late? You'll have to read and find out! This book demonstrates just how far Briar has come since he's lived at Winding Circle. It is beautifly written by one of my favorite authors, Tamora Pierce. I would recomemend all her books. Happy Reading!

Briar Moss is facing challenges...

In the fourth book of the Circle of Magic quartet Briar Moss, now fourteen discovers that one of his loyal friends has a new desease. He tells his teacher Rosethorn but even she does not understand how to cure it. The two of them take the girl to a place where she can't leave until shes cured. Rosethorn and Briar are also not alowd to leave the space. As time goes by even more people are getting sick and many are left to die or cannot be helped.

In Winding Circle dedicate Crane and his workers are desperetley trying to find the cure to the desease now known as Bluepox. It's deadly and he is determined to cure it but so far he's finding no conclusion. But when Rosethorn and Briar return to Winding Circle to help find the cure Rosethorn gets sick with Bluepox and it's almost the end of her life...

This book is very good! Fantasy and magic lovers would especially like this book and even if you don't it's defenetley worth a try. Ms.Tamora Pierce has many other books out about Briar and his friends so you should read SANDRY'S BOOK, TRIS'S BOOK and DAJA'S BOOK first before reading this.
