Excellent before a Christian wedding.

I really loved this book. It refocused me on what was important before the wedding. It encouraged me to stop worrying about all the little details and instead focus on the three-way relationship between me, my future husband, and God.
I saw another review below that mentioned she had premarital sex. Yes, it is suggested that she did, but she did not encourage it or condone it. I admired her for admitting her sin and talking about how she worked to repent of it.
The only negative aspect is that I wish she had brought Christ into the picture instead of just God. Still, I highly recommend it for any couples preparing for marriage.

MUST HAVE

Don't listen to ANY negative reviews about this book! This book is EXCELLENT. It's a true page turner. Her information is timeless and will help you keep your focus on what's important...maintaining your marriage. In this day and age, people give the wedding soooo much more attention than how they're gonna LIVE with each other when it's all over.

This is a purchase you WON'T regret.

This is all you need if you are engaged

I suggest 1) a premarital class at your church, 2) $50 for a license, 3) a minister, and 4) this book for a God-loving marriage.

I read this book when I got engaged and completely gave myself, my husband, and my relationship to God, and this book helped out.

What is this about: your Cinderella fantasy party or uniting yourself in God's gift of a precious covenant? You can take off the rose-colored glasses without dampening your spirit. This book encourages you to be realistic and prepared without seeming intimidating. No day in your life is perfect, and your wedding is no exception.

Rather than making sure the dress is perfect, polish your relationship with your fiance by praying together, sharing, communicating. Cause the wedding may seem like a big deal now...but looking back 2 years later, just me, it's better to invest energy that everyday after your wedding is better than that "big day." Celebrate, laugh, and enjoy your special day with God's presence, but remember the best is yet to come!

That is only part of the book. It's truly meant for anyone: already married, getting married, or who would like to marry someday. Offers great healing processes with your spouse, financial strategies, and putting Christ above it all! I recommend buying and opening it up every once in a while!

Forget the planning books! This book is all you need!

I received this book as a gift, and I know that it was God-sent. It reminded me that good luck traditions showed a lack of faith in me for God to handle everything. As if I needed luck! I have God, and He will provide blessings beyond everything else.

Because I wasn't worried about getting all the traditions right so I'd have a happy marriage, I honestly enjoyed my wedding more than most I believe ever do!

The producers of Touched By An Angel wrote this, and I can see why the tv show was on so long!

"God is the silent partner in all great enterprises."
-- Abraham Lincoln
"In the months before our wedding, I searched the shelves of my favorite bookstores for a wedding book that I never found: A book that would celebrate my joy and acknowledge my fears. A book that would be a silent friend that wouldn't overwhelm me with week-by-week checklists and endless pictures of table settings. . . . I knew that before I began organizing the most important event of my life, I needed to organize my heart."

Inviting God to Your Wedding is not just about planning for an event. It's about preparing for a miracle. Written with honesty, wisdom, and humor by Touched By An Angel Executive Producer Martha Williamson, with a special chapter for men by her husband and Co-Executive Producer Jon Andersen, this inspiring book is a "wedding handbook" for your spirit and your soul.

Funny, thought-provoking, and thoroughly useful, it is filled with ideas, suggestions, and commonsense advice that focus on the most important aspect of every wedding: the coming together of a man and a woman "in the sight of God." From wedding showers to the wedding night, this personal workbook will help create a three-way partnership with God from the start, one that will sustain couples in times of crisis as well as triumph and joy.

Inviting God to Your Wedding will become an encouraging handbook of comfort, and celebration in the weeks and months before your wedding, and a treasured book of memories throughout your marriage.
