Hooway for Wodney Wat
Munsinger's expressive
watercolors give
the comical rats depth and personality. A great help for children with speech problems. How not being able to pronounce r's and being teased about it can turn into an asset.
Wodney ends
up saving his whole class from Camilla Capybera who is smarter, bigger and meaner than the other students. She takes him literally when he gives her and the group directions to wake(rake) the leaves and go west(rest)and she leaves in that direction. This turns Wodney into a hero.
Hooway for Wodney Wat
This is a delightful book with a happy ending and a big emphasis on phonics. It is also a great opportunity to stress the concept of kindness to others.

Review
If you cannot say your r's then this is a good book for you. This books about a rat that is named Rodney but he cannot say his r so he says he is Wodny
Wat
.
Hooway
for Wodny Wat by Helen Lester is a fun book to read even though it only has 32 pages. The author's message is probably to be nice or treat people the way you want to be treated. There is a new rat that is named Camilla Capybara and she is mean, she picks on Rodney. You will have to read to find out what will happen with all the rats and the big fat mean rat. You will love it. You will have to read to read to find out what will happen with all the rats and the big fat mean rat.

Great elementary aged book
This is an excellent book for teaching children that others with speech impediments are not to be excluded or bullied. Through colorful illustrations and wonderful writing the author really captures the lesson and teaches it well. Plus, the "
wat
is weally cute!"
Best kids book for adults to read!
This book is the best kids book I have ever read. It's fun to read and has a good message for kids.

Poor Rodney Rat can't pronounce his R's and the other rodents tease him mercilessly. But when Camilla Capybara joins Rodney's class and announces that she is bigger, meaner, and smarter than any of the other rodents, everyone is afraid. It seems she really is bigger, meaner, and smarter than all of the rest of them. Until our unwitting hero,
Wodney
Wat
, catches Camilla out in a game of Simon Says. Read along with Wodney as he surprises himself and his classmates by single-handedly saving the whole class from the big bad bully. Children will delight as shy Rodney Rat triumphs over all and his tiny voice decides the day, R's or no R's.
