Clever, imaginative book on trucks

This book tells the story of a little boy picking up his room and putting all his toy trucks away. As the trucks are put away, they are seen from the little boy's point of view. The trucks become larger on each page, and many different types of trucks are shown in simple, clear illustrations. My child realy enjoys this book, and I do too -- it is humorous and clever on many levels.

We love it

I have 3 boys -all have *adored* this book from about one year old to two years old.

This one gets read everyday!

It's amazingly simple. The colors are limited to three (black, white and gold) and on most pages there is only one truck. Each page features a different truck and the trucks get larger and larger as you progress through the book. The title truly says it all and it works! Our 17 month old son usually reads this book no less than four times a day and this is one book that I don't mind reading to him at least four times a day.

Mesmerizing Book for my 2-Year-Old Truck Lover

This simple story immerses my 2-year-old in it's clean pictures like no other book. He holds the book close and studies the differnt trucks (especially on the last page) like a little scientist.

It's easy to understand, and the pictures tell a great story.

Clearly Peter Sis knows how to make a great book for the toddler set.

Trucks....

I was surprised that this book was rated for ages 4-8. My 6 year old is certainly beyond the one word per page board books. My 2 year old might like it, but my truck-loving 6 year old is totally bored by it.

Plowing! Digging! Hauling! Scooping! Is there anything that Matt and his battalion of big rigs can't do? Of course not! Caldecott Honor-winning Peter Sis throws things into high gear in this irresistible follow-up book to his popular Fire Truck. Young viewers will be enchanted by nine brightly colored earth-shaking machines, including a dump truck, a plow, a bulldozer, and a foldout spread of a crane that takes counting to exciting new heights. It's time to feel the rumble of trucks, trucks, trucks!
