Twisted Tale of a Tradgedy

The book Twisted Summer by Willo Davis Roberts is an exhilarating mystery that is very addicting. This book takes place in present time at Crystal Lake in Michigan. Cici goes here for her family's summer vacation, but her summer of fun in the sun soon turns into a murder mystery case. Cici and her family go to Crystal Lake every year but they couldn't make it up there the year before and that very year, a young girl was murdered and a boy named Brody was wrongly accused of murder and was sentenced to 30 years of prison. Cici was looking forward to going to the lake this year because she turned 15 that spring and was the age that the people at the lake considered `big kid age'. Cici would be able to spend time with the big kids and especially more time with Jack whom she has had a crush on forever. Jack was Brody's little brother and ever since he was in jail, Jack has never been the same and Cici decides she should help jack find the real murder! To make things worse her grandma Molly dies and Cici is devastated. Cici has been too nosey, sneaking around at night, spying on people asking a on of questions, and people at the lake are getting suspicious. She must be very careful because the murderer is still at the lake and her life is at stake.
This is an awesome book and the characters are very easy to relate to. The lesson I got from reading this book is no matter how big the problem, if you put your heart and soul into it, you can accomplish it! This is a great book and makes you want to be a better, stronger person. If you are a strong-willed adventure seeker and love mysteries, this is a must read!

I liked the book a lot. It was exciting and full of suspense. It was a book that sucked you in. You never want to put it down. It will definitely have you wanting to read until you can't read anymore.
Cecil had missed a year of going to Crystal Lake. When she arrives the next summer she finds out that Zoe Cyrek had been murdered. Cici doesn't really think it was Brody who murdered her so she tries to find out. Her friend Jack doesn't think that his brother did it either and helps her when he's not working. Then they find out that the Judge (Cici's step-grandfather) had something to do with it. Then Cici's grandma Molly dies and the investigation is held off for a while. They keep on investigating and find out some pretty shocking things. Did the Judge really kill Zoe?
The type of person who would like this book is someone who likes to read about murder mysteries. You would also like this book if you have read any other books by Willo Davis Roberts.

Excellent book

This book is excellent and worth the money.
I read this book from the library, and I've read it 2 times so far.
It's so good, that at the end, both times, I had goosbumps all over, and I felt a great sense of relief.

A Great Mystery Book!

Twisted summer is one of the best mystery books I have ever read! Although some parts got a bit boring, I never wanted to put the book down. I have not read many mystery books before, mainly because they sound boring to me, but when I picked up this book I knew I would like it. I mainly like books for young adults, like the Princess Diaries and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but Twisted Summer is a mix of those and mystery! I think Twisted Summer is more of a girl's book, but maybe some guys would like it. The only think I didn't like was it was kind of short. I hope you read this mystery, even if mysteries aren't your cup of tea!

Twisted Summer

Cici who was always considered a little kid is now 14 hoping to be accepted by the older kids on the island. However when she arrives on the island after missing a summer she discovers that Zoe had been murdered the summer she missed in a cottage. She also learns that the person they accused for murdering Zoe and is in prison is her family cooks son. She also has the hugest crush on his brother. Cici is sure they have the wrong guy and when she starts finding clues she wished she would never had went looking for them. This murder mystery might just be connected to her family more than she ever thought it would be. This is a great book it started slow but it got really interesting. This is the kind of book that you can't stop reading you wanna know who did it. So do you really wanna know who did it it was her close friend one she never thought could do something like that.....?
