highly recommended

very beautiful but delicate

My gentle son never ripped it, but his friends tore it up! very fun and beautful to look at and a special gift, but it is definitely delicate.

Well done

This book follows in the Sabuda tradition - wonderfully intricate, detailed and colorful pop-ups. I was disappointed that 3 or 4 of the pop-ups were "hung up" and took some analysis and intricate intervention to release without tearing. Most people wouldn't spend the time to figure the problem out and would end up w/ damaged pop-ups the first time through the book.

Great gift for a child

I bought this book as a gift for the flowergirl in my wedding, she is 4 years old. At first when I recieved it I thought it might be too young for her, however, seeing her eyes light up when she opened it changed my mind for sure. She kept calling the book magic! As many of the rhymes are familiar to her she thought she was reading, and being a reading teacher I know that memeorizing text is the first step to actual reading, so anything to get a young child interested in reading I am all for! One problem I did notice while just looking at the book myslef is that once the book has been opened a few times, a few of the pop-ups begin to get difficult to close. But overall, an incredible, magical book!

Quality of the production of this book is not up to par.

I am a collector of pop up books (especially by Robert Sabuda) I have been collecting as a teacher and as a parent for many years. I also give pop up books away as gifts. Unfortunately I found the paper quality and the color of the Movable Mother Goose book to be poor. I think this probably is a manufactures error rather than author.

Wow - pretty much covers it - you will be amazed

I love all the Robet Sabuda pop-up books. They are amazingly detailed and this is no exception. Gorgeous book, and appeals to adults at least as much as to kids. The incredible skill it took to make this book is more likely to be appreciated by adults - although we are all enchanted by the pictures.
