great book!

I have only read this book once but it was great! It was about this family who has one of there friends sons come stay with them for the summer. Well the daughter of the family and the Son of the other family become really close. Its all about what they do over the summer and all the adventures they have. over all its pretty good.

Remember Me to Herold Square

Remember Me to Harold Square is about a high school boy from Wisconsin who spends six weeks one summer in New York City with friends of his parents, who have a high school daughter and a middle school son. The four parents have devised a six-week-long scavenger hunt for the kids to help them experience the best of the city and stay busy for the entire visit.

This book generated lots of great discussion in our Mother Daughter Book Club. We talked about whether it's an advantage for girls to be friends with boys before they start to date them and the difficulties of getting seriously romantically involved with someone when you're still young. None of the daughters are dating yet, or even plan to, (they're 12 so it was a good way to talk about dating issues theoretically.

We were also inspired to create our own summer scavenger hunt, and the girls loved it. They had to visit museums, eat new food, go the park and discover places around the corner they never knew about. It was a great way for them to stay in touch over the summer, and the parents were able to share the shuttling from place to place. It was lots of fun!

How could you not??

I have read this book so many times I can't even count, when I first read it i thought it would be a cheesy romance novel and 2 demensional, but I am officailly IN LOVE w/ farm boy frank, the young romance-which I am waiting for-is so beautiful and "wow!" that I had to read it so many times, plus being from NY I could see where they were going and imagined a similar situation happening to me--It was amazing!

A school review

Kendra Kaye is stuck in her hometown, NYC for the summer. Her little brother, Oscar Kaye (O.K.) is really getting on her nerves. But their parents have a surprise for them. O.K., Kendra & Frank, the son of their parent's friends are sent on an educational scavenger hunt through NYC. This is a great book.

wonderful

I read this book for school and I think it's one of the best books I've read. It was an easy read and had a great story line. If you like reading... romantic (i guess) books this is for you. I don't think I would recomend it to anyone over 16 or so though. It was great.

This summer could be a disaster. Kendra's parents have invited Frank, a 15-year-old she's never met, to stay with them. And they've planned a goofy scavenger hunt for the kids, including Kendra's bratty younger brother. They have to race all around New York City and visit places like the Empire State Building and the United Nations to find answers. But once they get started, Kendra doesn't mind the scavenger hunt so much, mostly because Frank turns out to be just as interesting as all of the sights.

"With characteristic humor, tart language, and quick phrasing, Danziger's teenagers not only share a summer getting to know each other but also explore the riches of a city often perceived as dirty and dangerous." --Publishers Weekly

"Danziger handles [this] in her usual cheery, sympathetic way, with plenty of rapid-fire puns delivered by a cast of sane characters willing to recognize problems and talk things out." --Kirkus Reviews
